After ingesting an experimental super-soldier formula, the lowly Robert Reynolds became the Sentry, if only in his mind.
In constant battle with his dark side known as the Void, the Sentry has been forgotten and dead, he has resurrected and vanished. Even if he is one of earth's greatest heroes, he is also one of the world's greatest dangers.
@jeanroygrant: thats just a pose most villains or heroes use to give the impression of how powerful they've become the usally stick their arms in the air and tilt their heads downwards
Jesus or God? The very closest they did was associate him with the Angel of Death which killed the first born in Egypt during Exodus - which is, in and of itself, rather stupid and completely out of nowhere.

In other words: Bob got the Blaze treatment.
You didn't see the foreshadowing for Blaze being an angel all these years? Tsk, tsk.
Not at all. I guess it was all that hellfire, demons, devils, and brimstone clouding my vision. Golden wings and halos were staring me right in the face!
I liked Sentry but he was just canon-fodder for Bendis. He could have been a great character, In time, could truly have been Marvel's Superman. But he wasn't used to his potenia and the confusion to his origins just made it worse. I hope Bendis opne day explain his point with him.
Its comics, its Bendis, its 'layered' etc. Means you have to stop thinking literally. Think metaphorically. So no special connections. At least as far as the issue your referring to.

I agree, sort of. Sentry had a lot of potential but having his arch nemesis being himself really complicated him but also provided unique story opportunities. But all in all he could have been great but he was turned into a mentally unstable pawn for Osborn.

No people hate superman because he is untouchable, and I agree Sentry was Marvel's superman, but therein lies the problem, sentry was broken. He was hulk plus so either everyone else would get a buff or he would be the cause for lots of bad writing. I believe he will be back just like Jean but they will have a plan for him then that will allow the house of marvel to stand
@jeanroygrant: His power of molecular manipulation and the ability to regenerate after complete and total molecular distintegration originates from the One Above All.
