THIS IS IT!! The truly shocking conclusion to THE comic event hit of the year. And you are not prepared for what will happen in these pages. Heroes will rise, heroes will fall...and the Marvel Universe will, and we're not joking, NEVER be the same again!

The final battle seems lost. Wasp's growth formula had been infected as a final weapon. Thor had no choice but to stop her, vowing that he would avenge her. The heroes able to get their bearings soon turned to Queen Veranke. Wolverine was about to deliver the final blow but was too late. Norman Osborn got the kill shot.

The rest of the Skrulls soon fell without leadership. Tony was able to find a ship containing those that had been replaced in the Skrulls plan. Those returning included Spider-Woman, Elektra, Jarvis, Mockingbird and many others. Seeing Jarvis, Jessica Jones soon realized she left her baby with the Skrulls. Danielle was no where to be found. Nick teleported his team away upon seeing the Contessa and Dum Dum. The Fantastic Four were reuninted and the Baxter Building repaired itself

Norman Osborn was the hero of the day. SHIELD was deemed obsolete and all Stark Tech would be removed from all defense technology. Enjoying his new position, Norman secretly meets with his new DARK allies.

Not too shabby of an ending 0

With the loss of a founding member of the Avengers, tempers flare up enough to end the battle. I thought that was a good idea considering issue seven was nothing more than a twenty two page fight scene.  This issue was mainly designed to answer all the questions from previous issues, and to create even more questions, some of which would negate the logic behind the story.  Bringing back the characters taken over by Skrulls was a cop-out, but I can not expect Marvel to go on a balls out killing s...

Spoilers, probably.Bendis.  Boy, can he be frustrating sometimes huh?  I'm sure he's used this ploy before where he's set things up big style at the end of issue seven, only to downplay events almost immediately in the succeeding issues by adding in disembodied dialogue throughout this issue from two characters talking after everything's ended.  The effect of this is to deaden the atmosphere somewhat.  I agree with the other two reviewers that the Wasp's death oddly really doesn't work - it's al...

::SPOILERS::I've really tried to like this series. Don't get me wrong, Bendis is a fantastic writer, Yu is my second favorite artist, and the idea for this story is amazing. However, what they accomplished in eight issues could have easily been done in five. Most of the time is spent on great looking splash battle scenes. Hey, a few of those are great, but by the end of issue eight, I'm sick of them. The set-up, so far, was the best thing to come out of S.I. Months of conspiracy theory action in...
