    Bulletproof, yes. Valkyrie-proof, no. 0

    In this very strong issue, Steve Rogers succeeds in outmaneuvering the Shadow Council and their attempt to resurrect Shang Chi's father, Zheng Zu. Good action, good plot, good characters. It is the perfect mix for a great story.  It is a testament to Ed Brubaker's writing that Secret Avengers can shift so seamlessly from an opening story arc that has the team fighting on Mars to one in which they are preventing the rise of a Chinese sorcerer all under the umbrella of a covert ops superhero book....

    Issue #10 of Secret Avengers.  The Story: The SA stops the Shadow Councils ritual to give Shang-Chi's dad immortality.And then Steve goes to have a talk with John Steele.  The Good: The action was simply awesome and I really felt that there was plenty of stuff at stake.Also as a Moon Knight fan it was cool to see him kick the crap of the Shadow Council goons.What is also really cool about Brubakers writing is his eye for detail since MK had to push a button to contact the SA and Max Fury notices...

    Commander Rogers saves the day 0

    This is without any doubt the best issue so far of this ongoing series, not only because of the excellent mix art of Deodato and Conrad, but mostly because in this issue I believe Brubaker delivered all he thought that this series and this team is all about. The black ops team of Steve Rogers really did prove it´s value in this final confrontation and proved also that there´s team work starting to grow amongst them.     There is not much to say about an issue like this one.  Some story arcs build up to some deeper meaning and some build up to a big brawl, and this is the latter.  That having been said the brawl was pretty fun with good matchups, fun dialogue and good pacing.  What plot there is basically comes down to the Secret Avengers launching a surprise attack on the Shadow Council while Fu Manchu is nearly completed the ritual to regain full strength (which involves in part the death of Shang Chi.)  Prett...
