    Scott McCloud is a Comic writer and artist. Best known for his Understanding Comics series, which seeks to establish comics as an art form of its own. In the series he would create a comic avatar version of himself: Scott McCloud.

    When younger living in Boston, Scott McCloud say comics as a non intelligent form of communication. "Funny Books" like hoe most people saw comics then, a from of entertainment for Children. Long time childhood friend, Kurt Busiek, would introduce comics in McCloud's life and this exposure to the medium would become his life's passion.
