Proper Japanese Title: カスタムコミック
Custom Comic was a short-lived (1979-1982) magazine which started out by featuring original one-shots from dozens of major authors in the industry, with a stronger-leaning emphasis towards the gekiga side of the industry but also including some more standard manga names.
These first nine issues were released every two months and focused on one-shots but by the end of 1980 the magazine shifted completely into a standard monthly magazine with its own ongoing serializations (and a number of the same authors). This incarnation lasted for almost two years before it ended but most of the big-name authors were gone well before the magazine's end.
