Ryu

Ryu is the Street Fighter Champion. He is the worlds best fighter. He is the master of a unknown Ansatsuken Martial Art. He also gained extensive Yoga training in the comics to help in his battle of Sagat. He also is possibly the most powerful fighter in the world when he succumbs to the Dark Hadou.

Training

Ryu's training is extensive, and documented.

1) Ryu after becoming Street Fighter Champion was a master of the nameless non lethal Ansatsuken style that Gouken taught Ryu as opposed to the lethal Ansatsuken style of Akuma.

2-3) Ryu also had extensive training with Dhalsim in Yoga to learn control over the Dark Hadou in him.

Durability

As expected, Ryu can tank some serious blows.

1-4) Balrog can level vans with a punch. He blows out punching bags filled with cinder blocks with a blow. All this force was used to beat on Ryu who took damage, only to fight on and win.

5) Ryu gets caught up in a C4 blast.

6) Ryu fights through Dhalsim's Yoga Flame.

8) Ryu is smashed through part of the stone wall. He block strike that cause the earth under him to crack from the force.

Hadouken

Ryu's range attack.

1-2) Shatters the stone earth.

3) Forces it's way up against a moving river, parting the river down the middle.

4) Hits Adon with enough force to send him flying hundreds of feet into the stone statue. Ending the fight.

Shinku Hadouken

Ryu's super chi attack.

A super beam version of the Hadouken. Where the Hadouken is overpowered by Sagat's Tiger Strike every time, the Shinku Hadouken obliterates through Sagat's attack, and KO's Sagat himself in one hit.

Shoryuken

Ryu's favored attack to end a fight and to combat airborne foes.

1) Ryu Shoryukens hundreds of feet up a water fall.

2) KO's Balrog when all other attacks failed.

3) KO's this Street Fighter who was 100 fights undefeated in one blow.

Tatsumaki Senpukyaku

Also known as the Hurricane Kick, is a chi powered 360 degree attack.

1) The attacks speed, and being chi empowered allows it to cut Ken's hair.

2) Uses it to throws off 4 grown men 20+ feet when they tried to hold him.

3) Sends a 408 pound Rufus flying hundreds of feet, and into a 253 pound Zangief who then continued travel father along from momentum.

4) Used to get a attack on Akuma.

Shinu Tatsumaki Senpukyaku

A more powerful version of the Hurricane Kick.

Even though Akuma completely outclass Ryu in stats, his Shinku Tatsumaki Senpukyaku was able to break through Akuma's block.

Chi Sensing

Ryu's training allows him to sense the life force, or Chi, around him.

1) Ryu senses a powerful Chi approaching. Turned out to be Sagat.

2) Ryu senses Gen behind him.

Dark Ryu

Ryu has learned of his darker self that takes over when he feels the need to win a fight no matter the cost. When pushed to such limits, Ryu transforms into his darker personality. With this transformation, he gains more moves, higher stats, and no morals.

Dark Hadou

Dark Ryu uses negative chi energy just like Akuma known as Dark Hadou.

Like Akuma, the Dark Hadou energy is unlimited in Dark Ryu.

Chi Strikes

Along with his stat amp, Dark Ryu also has the ability to channel his unlimited Dark Hadou into every strike.

1) Dark Ryu impacts kicks up earth.

2) Dark Ryu makes a large crater in the earth with a punch.

Gohadouken

A more powerful form of the Hadouken.

1) Blows out the side of the wall.

2) Overpowers the Hadouken.

Goshyruken

Just like the Shoryuken, however it is more lethal with a cutting effect added to.

The Goshyruken used to defeat Sagat in one blow. Not only it KO's him, it scars him for life.

Ashura Senku

Dark Ryu has the same teleportation after image move that Akuma uses. A move designed to phase through a attack, while moving at high super high speeds for a counter.

1) Used to phase through Ryu's attack, and then counters.

2) While Ryu is in mid air, Dark Ryu uses it to appear behind for a counter kick.

Battles

Ryu effortlessly climbs the rank of the street Fighter Tournament. Then in a close battle defeats Sagat with the help of the Dark Hadou. he becomes the new Street Fighter Champion.

Ryu's first encounter with his Dark self during a deep meditation.

Ryu first battle with Akuma. He was the last to go down, but in the end proved to weak to face Akuma as he was.

Ryu gets in a serious fight with Balrog who is one of Bison's best fighters.

Ryu gets into another meditative battle with his darker side from his intense training.

Ryu in his quest for finding Sagat to test himself again finds the King of Muay Thai in India. Sagat had undergone Yoga training, and with this new found skill, beats Ryu in a brutal battle pretty decisively. Although Ryu loses, he shows great feats of refusing to be KOed in this brutal battle.

Ryu before training with Dhalsim in Yoga matched the Yoga Master well enough.

Here Ryu faces Gen, he chains his attacks together in combos like the Hodouken, and the Shoyruken. Ryu does his best not to fight with lethal attacks that Gen encouraged him to. the battle ends in a draw.

Before the Street Fighter Tournament, Ryu was beating multiple street fighters at the same time. Ryu then with a single Shoryuken defeats the undisputed champ of that ring who has not lost 100 matches.

Ryu faces Final Fight's best Cody. Cody originally defeats Ryu pretty handily. Until Ryu goes Dark Ryu, and then Cody stands no chance.

In this Qualifications battle Ryu blocks all of Rufus's super speed punches, and Hurricane Kicks him into Zangief.

In the first rounds of the Street Fighter Tournament, Ryu easily beats E Honda in round one. In round two Ryu beats Fei Long with no trouble. Both characters with super human stats, moves, and highly skilled.

In the final battle between Sagat and Ryu, they were perfect equals. Only way Ryu could win was resort to using the newly acquired Shink Hadouken super blast. Both truly shown as equals.

Ryu's final battle with Akuma goes better than last time, however he still is no match for Akuma. Dark Ryu takes over in mid battle, and nearly finishes Akuma off till Ryu takes back over.

Ken

Ken is also considered a master of the unknown Ansatsuken Martial Art much like Ryu. However, where Ryu mastered all that Gouken taught them, Ken instead improvise on what he learned to make it his own. He became the USA Champion around the same time Ryu became Street Fighter Champion. Although Ryu has in some ways seem to be the better fighter of the two, Ken has shown time and again to be second only to Ryu.

Strength

Ryu as a Street Fighter is slightly above Peak Human.

1) Ken is able to enhance his attacks with fiery chi.

2) Ken in training keeps blowing out Punching Bags with his strikes.

Durability

Ken has shown impressive durability feats in pain tolerance, and blunt damage in his fights.

1-2) Ken with multiple deep cuts keeps fighting till the blood loss became to much.

3-4) Ken gets smashed through the wall of this warehouse. He just plays it up to his woman.

Hadouken

Not a favored move of Ken, but one he has no problem using for range.

1) His Hadoukens are powerful enough to leave small craters in the earth.

2) He has no qualms spamming them on foes he does not wish to fight up close.

Shoryuken

Where Ryu mastered the Hadouken forms, Ken mastered the Shoryuken forms, and invented his own.

1-2) Ken shows how he invented his own fiery version of the Shoryuken.

3) KO's Hugo with the Shoryuken.

Shinryuken

Ken's own made super version of the Shoryuken.

1) Ken shows his mastery of his newly made move.

2) Ken defeats Vega with the move which breaks his protective mask, and scars his face.

Tatsumaki Senpu Kyaku

Also known as the Hurricane Kick, this special move is a 360 degree kick attack.

1-2) Ken Hurricane Kicks vega, smashing his protective mask.

3) Ken KO's Zangief.

Shippu Jinrai Kyaku

A super combo attack that ken invented that involves a Hurricane Kick at the end.

KO's Zangief easy.

Shoryu Reppa

A super special that involves a combo's of Shoryuken that lead into a powerful Shoryuken.

Actually snaps Ryu out of Dark Ryu persona.

Battles

Ken defeats Ryu during a sparring match.

Ken defeats Zangief for the USA Championship Title.

Ken defeats Vega in their first encounter.

Ken faces many thugs, and then has it out with Vega again, but loses this time.

Ken gets into a confrontation with Dark Ryu, he snaps Ryu out of it with his new super move.

Ken spars with Ryu again to help train for the upcoming Street Fighter Tournament. He matches Ryu again blow for blow.

Ken takes down the super strong Hugo.

Ken Defeats Zangief in the first round of the Tournament.

Ken defeats Vega in the Semi Finals with a temporary KO.

Chun Li

Chun Li is a cop for Interpol. She worked extensively on the Shadaloo case with Guile, and helped bring Bison's empire down directly. She is a very skilled fighter with extensive training from her father, and Master Gen. Her goal was always to be the strongest woman in the world, and she very well is.

Training

Chun Li has extensive training since she was a child. she has extensive knowledge in Pressure Points as well thanks to Master Gen.

1-3) Chun Li was top of her class along with Po Lin in the Police Academy. She learned various skills of Law Enforcement, Shooting, and proved to be the best in Hand to Hand Fighting. After her performance in the Academy, she was picked up to work with Interpol.

4-5) Chun Li trained with Gen until she mastered his non lethal aspects of Ansatsuken So Ryu, and Ansatsuken Gi Ryu. Also Gen states to Chun Li that she has learned to blend her fathers Martial Arts, which consists of Tai Chi, and Chinese Kenpo with Gen's own styles to form her own unique style.

Strength

Chun Li may not have say lifting strength like Zangief, but she still has all the training from Gen, the pressure point master, to land devastating attacks. She can also amp her weaker attacks with chi.

1) Smashes through thick construction grade glass with a kick.

2) Explodes a solid wooden poll with a palm strike.

Durability

Chun Li is not a super durable tank, but she can tank some impressive blows. Blows that would KO most street heroes.

1-2) Here Chun Li tanks a million volt attack from Red Viper to the stomach. shrugs it off for the win.

3-4) Here Cammy hits Chun Li with the same attack that sends a grown man through the steel roof of a bullet train. Chun Li takes both legs in this kick instead of one, and lands on a car shattering the roof. Chun Li just gets angry.

5) Chun Li falls from a 3rd story building, kicked in mid air, and lands fine.

Speed

Besides the various feats of Chun Li's proven reaction time vs other Street Fighters, she has other feats to prove she is very fast in her attacks and reaction time.

1) Chun Li kicks are so fast, they leave after images.

2) Casual bullet dodging.

3) Blitzes Delta Red team leader Colonel Keith Wolfman, a super human in his own right.

Kikoken

A powerful ranged chi attack used to keep foes at a distance, or as a distraction.

1) Uses it to KO a thug.

2) Uses it to throw Red Viper off.

3) Blasts back 3 Kung Fu Masters at the same time.

Kikosho

A super chi attack that can be for Range, or a area of effect chi attack.

1) Chun Li mastered this technique from her father.

2) The Kikosho blast is so powerful, it craters the concrete earth while knocking cars back!

3) The Kikosho blows away a easy 6 inches of steel door with no effort.

Tenshokyaku

A devastating kick attack that is so powerful, it forces a foes higher and higher in the air from momentum.

1) Temporarily KO's Charlie.

2) Damages Cammy bad for the Kikosho finish.

Spinning Bird Kick

This chi powered kick is super fast, 360 degree attack.

1) Knocks around 3 guys more than 20+ feet into the walls at the same time.

2) KOs five Kunf Fu Master Street Fighters at the same time.

Hyakuretsukyaku

This is no mere kick, but a precise attack much like Gen's Pressure Point Hyakurenko. Each blow relying on the knowledge of Gen's pressure point style for maximum damage. This kick is also super fast.

1) Too fast for Po Lin to counter in practice.

2) Used on Triad Martial Artists.

3) The Pressure Point accuracy of her attack KOs people.

4) Her move is so fast, she overwhelms 2 Kung Fu Masters.

5) Sends Red Viper, who has proven super human reactions, flying.

Senretsukyaku

This is a modified super version of the Rapid Kick for maximum damage.

When used on Cammy it KO's the sensible part of her personality, and allowed the Doll Agent personality to take over.

Battles

Chun Li vs some criminals.

Here a younger Chun Li faces the Doll Agent Cammy, the battle was very even.

Chun Li faces Shadow Charlie. Chun Li manages to KO temporary the Psycho Power amped Charlie, however overall loses the fight due to the difference in power.

Chun Li gets into a spat with a enraged Fei long. She easily handles him even though she is holding back while Fei Long is going all out.

Chun Li rematch with Cammy was pretty one sided, hitting Cammy with no less than her 3 most powerful attack in combo fashion.

Chun Li again takes down multiple criminals by herself.

Chun Li and Fei Long train for the Street Fighter Tournament.

Chun Li faces 5 Kung Fu Masters of various Kung Fu arts. Even though blinded halfway through the match, she manages to still win with help of her friends telling her where the foes were attacking her from.

Chun Li beats Red Viper in the final qualifications with ease.

Sagat

Sagat is the King of Muay Thai. Muay Thai is known as one of the most effective styles out there for MMA fighters in the world. Sagat was the greatest known champion of MMA Championships in the whole world. His mastery over Muay Thai is more than enough to beat foes incorporating multiple forms of MAs. He is also Shadaloo's best operative, running whole parts of Bison's organization with no problems. He has shown to always been Ryu's equal in battle, which says alot for the former Undefeated Street Fighter Champion.

Training

Sagat is the King of Muay Thai, but has extensive training as well in Yoga.

1) Sagat as King of Muay Thai remained a undefeated champion of MMA Championships around the world.He has experienced pretty much every form of Martial arts out there, and betean them with his mastery of Muay Thai.

2-3) Sagat mastered to a degree Yoga for his body, and mind. All within a month with Dhalsim.

Tiger Strike

One of Sagat's most powerful moves used for range.

1-2) Sagat obliterates 6 Terracota Stone Statues in one blow.

3-4) Tiger Strike overpowers the Hadouken.

5) Tiger Strike overpowers the Hadouken again, then send Ryu straight through a part of the stone wall.

6) Kills a peak human in one hit.

Tiger Knee

This is a simple powerful air attack move Sagat likes to use.

1) Used to take out Chun Li's father out of a fight for a time.

2) Used to damage Ryu.

3) Used as a counter to Ryu's own kick.

Tiger Uppercut

After being beaten by Ryu's Goshyruken, Sagat figured out how to perform the move in his own way making it one of his most devastating attacks.

Sends Adon flying away, and cratering the earth were he lands. The best part of the Tiger Uppercut is its use in combos like the Tiger Genocide.

Tiger Genocide

One of Sagat's most powerful moves combined in a combo.

This combo combines the Tiger Knee with the Tiger Uppercut. It was close to KOing Ryu even though he blocked every other attacked.

Tiger Raid

Another super combo move of Sagat that involves his best kicks.

This move damages Ryu so much, he could not continue the fight. Hurling him so hard into the solid stone wall to leaves many large cracks in it.

Battles

Dan's father Hibiki is a very skilled fighter who wiped out Triad with ease. When Sagat fought him, it was very one sided. The only hit Hibiki got in was a cheap shot on Sagat who tried to show mercy, he only wanted to make a point, yet Hibiki went for his best shot. Sagat ends his life.

Here Sagat faces Chun Li, and her Father, taking both of them down with ease. He is even hit by the Kikoshi which is strong enough to break steel doors down, and suffers no damage. Speed wise Sagat keeps up, and counter Chun Li with no problem.

Sagat first battle with Ryu, Ryu was force to go Dark Ryu to win.

Here Sagat easily takes blows from Adon after his grueling fight with Ryu. He even one shots Adon who has feats of Super Speed and super Jumping in the comics with one blow.

Sagat goes to deliver a message to Ryu. Ryu suspects Sagat as the killer of his master Gouken goes on the attack. Sagat evades Ryu pretty easy.

After his defeat Sagat received training from Dhalsim, and it pays off. He shows many feats of Stone smashing, and stone wall cratering with his attacks. Ryu shows the durability to tank most of these attacks, abut could not keep up with Sagat for long. Sagat finishes the fight with the Tiger Raid, then spares Ryu's life.

After Ryu receaves his own training from Dhalsim does he face Sagat again. Only this time Ryu matches Sagat blow for blow till Sgat again lays waste to him with Tiger Genocide. However Ryu wins the match in the end with his new Shinku Hadouken attack. Sagat here even takes this super Hoduken in stride without being to damage to walk off the battlefield.

Cammy is a clone of Bison made to be a vessel for his soul if his body was destroyed. She was trained, implanted, and programmed to be the best assassin like all the rest of the Doll Agents. However, Cammy proven time, and again to be the best Doll Agent out of the whole group.

Durability

Cammy like most Street Fighters is very resistant to blunt force damage.

Akuma

Akuma is the top fighter in the street fighter franchise. His stats, powers, and special moves so far trumps anyone else besides Dark Ryu. Akuma believes in winning no matter the cost, and in doing so he relies on the negative chi known as the Dark Hadou. He is the master of his Ansatsuken Martial Art, and proven time again to be the strongest fighter in Street Fighter by beating the strongest in fights.

Strength

Akuma Strength is pretty on par with the strongest Street Fighters.

Training in the heat and ash of a Volcano, Akuma kicks a human body size stone piece hundreds of feet in the air, and then punches it to pieces in one shot.

Durability

Akuma is pretty durable. Beside tanking Dark Ryu earth cratering punches and Hadoukens, he also with stood Gen's pressure point killing attacks.

Along with Akuma's insane speed reaction, he has a after image teleport move that can counter any attack.

Raging Demon

The most powerful attack Akuma has. It works by attacking the soul, killing you in the process.

He is the master of pressure point attacks, and a master of theAnsatsuken So Ryu, and Ansatsuken Gi Ryu martial arts. He was world renown assassin, and trained Chun Li in the non killing forms of his arts.

The dictator, and leader of Shadaloo. M. Bison is a man who harness soul power techniques in Europe. understanding the soul as a Yin and Yang, he decided to expel his good side which in turn created Rose. With nothing left but his negative energy, he created what is known as Psycho Power. With this power he assembled scientist, soldiers, and resources to attempt the take over of the world.

Strength

Bison has shown superior strength to most Street Fighters.

Bison's most powerful attack. With the Psycho Drive complete, Bison can use the worlds negative energy to fire island busting beams from space. The Psycho Drive also adds unlimited Psycho Power for Bison to manipulate once it is complete.

Gulie

Guile is a Major of the Air Force, and renown Martial artist of the military. He trained under his best friend Charlie. After Charlie's death, Guile became a key figure in bringing down Shadaloo. Although he does not get the respect he deserves in comics anymore than he does in the Animes, or games, he is still one bad @$$ fighter.

Durability

Guile is a tough boy who ignores pain, and keeps Chugging.

Sonic Boom

Guile also has the Sonic Boom like Charlie, which he uses in combat. However he is not as effective as Charlie, requiring two arms instead of one.

Sonic Boom has enough force to crater the ring floor, and send Blanka flying straight up in the air from the impact.

Flash Kick

This is Guile's bread and butter move. He never perfect the Sonic Boom, but did perfected the Flash Kick which is his go to move in any fight.

Dhalsim is the world famous Yoga Master. Not so much a martial artist, as a master of the body, mind, and soul. He has shown many abilities and powers ranging from mental abilities to teleportation. He also proved to be a threat to Bison with just his understanding of Yoga. Dhalsim also helped train both Sagat, and Ryu to push past their limits.

Stretching Ability

Dhalsim mastery of the body allows him to stretch his body for impossible moves.
