Ryoga is a talented martial artist who has been cursed by the Jusenkyo Springs. Whenever he is splashed with cold water, he turns into a little black piglet known as P-Chan. Ryoga is ever wandering and constantly training so that he might one day defeat Ranma. He is very vulnerable when he is in his piglet form and is easily angered.
Relationship with Akane
He cherishes being Akane's pet when he is in his piglet form. He wishes to tell her that he loves her but he is too bashful. She is oblivious that her pet P-Chan is Ryoga in his piglet form. She later mistook him for loving Ranma's girl form, due to Ranma's constant teasing.
