Roman Von Drake is a powerful man in the structure of Queen City and he uses his position and power to control the city and when that doesn't work he's not afraid to use more direct methods.
After money had been stolen from him, he looked at two police detectives who worked for him. He wrongly accused Frank Mitchell of the theft, but in fact it was Alex London. Roman had Frank Mitchell killed and took his youngest daughter Jackie. Frank's other daughter, Nicole, was hiding in the cupboard. Jackie was raised by Roman to be the assassin Stryke, while Nicole grew up to be the vigilante Razor.
Roman has hinted, right before his death, that he was Razor's father, because her mother used to be with him, before she left him for Frank Mitchell. In a confrontation with Stryke and Razor, Stryke shot Roman through his head.
