I was thinking, could all this Hope team-up result in Rogue becoming a mother figure to the girl?
I mean, it could be an interesting aspect to explore.

She's already becoming a substitute motherly-teacher for the New/Young X-Men.  The whole 'bond' with Hope is annoyingly vague & over-used.

She's always been very quick to learn & use other mutants' powers.  In the past she's been able to use their powers to the same degree that they could, but without the years of training that they went through.  So she's able to empathise with & educate others in ways that Cyclops & Emma Frost couldn't.

Rogue lived for years not being able to control her powers, where prolonged physical contact with someone could kill them. She is the perfect mentor for mutants new to or inexperienced with their powers. Who could possibly
understand what they are going through better. I do think more has been made about the supposed bond between Rogue and Hope then there actually is. Cyclops seems to want to wrap hope up in bubble wrap and store her
away somewhere, while Rogue willing to listen to the girl and allow her to follow her instincts. Rogue just seems to have more insight and rapport with the younger mutants.
