Can current Rogue beat Ms Marvel?

If Rogue hasn't absorbed any powers going into the fight with Ms Marvel. Could she beat Ms Marvel ?

Of course. How powerful either character is never matters in a fight. All that matters is:

1. Whose book is it?

2. Who's writing it?

3. Who needs to win in order for the story to go in the most interesting direction?

Yeah, she put Ms Marvel into a coma before and she beat her in Avengers Vs X-Men event.

I mean, from what I remember of that fight, it made sense. If Carol had gone straight for the KO it would've been her fight, but she didn't and that gave Rogue the chance to bring things to equal footing.

Which has shown in the past that Rogue has beaten Ms Marvel before. All Rogue has to do is touch Ms Marvel and she gain the advantage.

If she absorbed Ms. Marvels powers then yes. If she didnt have any walking in and couldnt get her powers, then no.

Yes. She just defeated her in AVX for example.

In AvX its seems Carol wanted to talk to Rogue rather than fully kill her

I agree with @unicornpuncher, If Rogue absorbed Ms Marvel powers, I think she can beat Carol. Rogue also beaten Ms Marvel twice before

The best part of her fight with carol is when she takes her gloves of and touches carol.

Ms Marvel did hit her away, but she also lost to Rogue in that fight. Ms Marvel is strong, but Rogue can handle her in fight and she prove that before twice.

Quick Question. What issue was it where Rogue first drained Carol of her powers and put her into a coma?

Starting without any powers well of course Captain Marvel, as she is now called would have the advantage, but Rogue has beaten her before. Also at Marvel any one can beat anyone else if it serves the storyline or an editorial agenda. If they can with a straight face say that Iron Man can defeat Magneto, even though when Magneto was one of the major villians in comics and no one person could take him down.

That was disgusting Magneto being beated by Iron Man. As if that can happen.

I don't know if her seventh sense is part of Ms Marvel's powers or not, but this could help a lot if she still has that power.

Also, 1 second of touch = 1 minute of stun for Ms Marvel.

This means that she only needs to sneak-touch Carol and she would win.
