If Riddler was in a new Batman movie Who could play him?
Jim Carrey!
damn - that's what I was gonna say

Lol!
Cumberbatch
Andrew Scott.
Personally, I think both of these could do an excellent job as Riddler.
Andrew Scott should be the Joker. Bryan Cranston Luthor, Cumberbatch could play most characters to be honest,
Jim Carrey!
...
Neil Patick Hariss
He would be a fun Riddler. definitely a name that has been thrown around a lot in threads like this in regards to riddler...
Cumberbatch
That would be interesting. And of course it would be pretty cool. But for some reason he just doesn't feel right. but then again he can play a variety of roles, so maybe he would be good.
@rogueshadow: of course I'd love to see Tennant as Riddler. He's doing a little shakespeare at the moment so I don't know how likely it would be (and if they would dish out the money for a name like Tennant), but he would be interesting...
Michael C Hall
That would be amusing...
Andrew Scott.
would be a little darker than I'd want to see in riddler. However, he does do a good villain.
steve buscemi.
That's a new one. Haven't Busemi's name in one of these threads before. Could be interesting...
Sir Anthony Hopkins.
He most certainly can do villains. But he's 75. I'm not saying he is not still good. I'm just thinking he's a little older than I'd prefer for the actor playing Riddler to be...
Johnny Deep
too dark
@sheenlantern: he is emotionless as an actor and only kind can be angry I like him but riddler is very changing with attitude
Jim Carrey!

I was joking!
edward norton would be epic for the riddler a mix of american history x and fight club molded into one

That would definitely be a unique interpretation compared to what we've seen before.
@evilvegeta74: i know. Just have seen that joke SO many times on these "who would you cast as Riddler" threads.

Lol, I had no idea!
Michael Emerson. He already basically played the Riddler in Lost and literally voiced Joker in the animated TDKR movie...so why not?
@the_poet: Just an fyi I've said Steve Buscemi as the riddler before :P
@the_poet: I think an elderly riddler would be cool to see. If got to pick a villain for him to be, I'd choose Hugo Strange.
Did anybody see Jack Gyllenhaal in Nightcrawler? PERFECT MATCH for the Riddler. He has the social awkwardness, the obsession, the giddyness of proving himself, the narcisism of his own intellelect, and he can just turn it into a dark, threatening demenor in a heartbeat.
possible spoilers
@420slaterson: Jake Gyllenhaal has really evolved as an actor. He was creepy in Nightcrawler and intense in Prisoners. He's be great as the Riddler.
Neil Patrick Harris, Zachary Quinto and Edward Norton, those three would all make wonderful Riddlers im my personal opinion.
