    Richard took Mia Dearden in after she was raped by her father, then became her pimp, forcing her to prostitute herself.

    After Mia is saved by the Green Arrow, Richard attempts to kill Mia, so that she can't be traced back to him. Mia pins him, and cuts the tendon between his thumb and finger, leaving Richard on the floor in pain.
