Revy and Dutch were hired to steal a disc of valuable data by Balalaika. They boarded the Asahi Heavy Industries ship and stole the disc from a Japanese businessman name Rokuro Okajima. Revy had the idea to abduct and ransom Rokuro, but Dutch pointed out the holes in her plot. Rokuro joined them to the Yellow Flag bar and Dutch was calling him "Rock". As Revy and Rokuro were in a drinking challenge, the Yellow Flag was being shot up by a troupe of PMCs. Revy gunned down as many as she could in the dark bar before they ran back to the Black Lagoon.

The PMC came in force on an armored helicopter and was planning to gun them all down. They were held up in a river with no escape, but it was Rokuro who came up with the crazy plan to use a nearby capsized ship as a ramp to fire their torpedoes into the helicopter. Back in Roanapur, they handed off the disc to Balalaika, and she sold it right back to Asahi Industries. With no place to go, Revy invited Rock to join the Lagoon Company.

A couple days later, Revy and the others were hired on a job that turned out to be a trap set up by the crime boss Chen. Revy was teaching Rock about ropes and they talked about their lives before becoming pirates. Soon after, Chen's man Luak chased after them with his small army of armed pirate ships. Revy made short work as she leapt from boat to boat killing them with a machine gun and grenade launcher. After they got home, Dutch was called by Balalaika to let them know she had Chen killed, then Dutch took them out for drinks.

    Rasta Blasta Arc

The crew had dropped off some weapons on a ship when they picked up their cargo to take back to the Colombian Cartels, but tha cargo turned out to be a young boy named Garcia Lovelace. He kept going on about how his family's maid Roberta would come save him and she was stronger than Revy. They got their chance to see, becasue Roberta was in the Yellow Flag shooting it out with the Colombians. Roberta's attention turned to the Lagoon Company when she saw Garcia was with him. Revy tried holding Garcia hostage, she got shot in the arm in that gun fight, and fell down unconscious.

Revy woke up in the ports with Roberta nearby, and Revy was in a blind rage. The two had a brief showdown that ended with them both crashed to the down and their guns at point blank range at one another. The fight was ended when Balalaika arrived, and shot the guns out of they hands. Revy wasn't satisfied with this happy ending and wanted payback for her shot up arm. Their fight was then settled with a fist fight that lasted till dawn and ended in a double KO.

    Die Rückkehr des Adlers Arc

Dutch had pulled the Lagoon Company along on a commissioned job to find a painting that was lost in a recently discovered WWII German sub. Revy and Rock searched the sub, and found the painting among the dead. When Revy started raiding the corpses for medals to sell., Rock started giving her a hard time, so she told him how these were only things. Sentiment was empty and worthless, and if he started giving her a hard time again with his self-righteous morals that she'd kill him. This tension was interrupted as a group of Neo-Nazi invaded. They got the painting after Rock dropped it, and Revy chased after. They were nearly gunned down by the groups machine guns, but Rock saved her by pulling her back under.

After they caught up with the Black Lagoon, Dutch and Revy waited for nightfall to raid the ship to get the painting back. Revy went on a rampage to cause chaos, but Dutch had to step in when she also murdered the hostage ship crew in cold blood. When they caught up with the group's leader, Revy passed him her pistol and made a bet with Dutch of which he would try to kill first. The pistol was empty, and they both finished him off. When Dutch asked what was wrong, Revy said that she didn't think she could work with Rock anymore.

    Calm Down Two Men Arc

Dutch ordered Revy to ride along with Rock to perform some of the local jobs. They dropped the bill off at Rowan's and delivered a message for Balalaika. Things really heated up at the Church of Violence. When Revy thought they were cheating them, Revy and Eda both drew down on each other. It was Rock who brought it to a peaceful end by insinuating how he could tell that the church was the group selling the drugs outside of the agreed routes.

While getting some food, Revy told Rock he should just go back home to Japan. Though, Rock really got her angry when he told her he wasn't sorry for the sub and he was done apologizing about it. She even tried shooting Rock in the head, but the bullet crazed him when he grabbed her gun. After more heated words and a punch from her, he finally confessed that what he really hated was that Revy, the woman who inspired him, was acting like the greedy bosses that sold him out. This meeting seemed to be just what the two needed to get over their issues, but they both got arrested for the scene they had caused. In the back of the squad car, Revy got a light for her cigarette from Rock's.
