    Origin

    Retro's motto.
    Retro's motto.

"Today's hero, yesterday attittude". That was one of Retro's motto. That pure and idealistic attitude was what made him win the contest to be member of the JLA for one day and had the chance to meet them in the moon. That was also what doomed him.

Retro always wanted to be a superhero, asking himself what would he do if he have the powers of Superman. Being powerless don't discourage him and went into fight for justice with enthusiasm. On the other side, also was working on his secret origin at the moment of win the contest "Meet the JLA". What most he had worked about were his catchwords. The other was "Here comes justice!". He had the idea of becoming himself by being hit from ray from the past. At least that was was he wished for.

Sadly, this prize also attracted the attention of Prometheus who was in his personal crusade to destroy the forces of justice, starting with the JLA. Prometheus tricked Retro telling him his own origin and meanwhile he recorded Retro's movements and corporal language. Unexpectedly Prometheus transported both to the ghost zone, inside of the crooked house, where he used his mystical key to kill the naive hero, leaving no trace of him.

    Creation

Retro was indeed a fan created character, the winner of a contest sponsored by DC comics and the Wizard magazine.
