Good start for a new series. 0

I've always been a fan of this character who's taken the mantle of Red Robin. The series has started out strong with this issue and you really get to see the emotional and change in mentality for this character. I don't want to spoil who it is but whether you read this or not, the character's change and potential direction in which this series and the rest of the batman world goes is going to be pretty exciting....

    Red Robin Takes Wing.. 2

O.K., I've been well aware of all the Batttle for the Cowl Batman and related tie-in books but I've avoided them because it seemed like overkill, despite some of the great art I'd seen on the covers and interiors.  It is possible, however, I will go back and get the actual Battle for the Cowl Series, now that I've read Red Robin #1.  This was really good.  I saw G-Man's review and I was interested due to several reasons, but I can't delve into too many because it would reveal a bit about the cha...

Standard issue no.1 for a solo book, wanted more answers 1

This was a read I enjoyed, but I was still a little disappointed as I was hoping for more. The art by Ramon Bachs was okay but nothing spectacular. Chris Yost is a writer I have come to admire over the last couple of years from his work at Marvel and Image, but this was a pretty standard storyline and script for an opening issue. Tim Drake (or Tim Wayne as he now likes be called) is sure that Bruce is still alive, although we are not really told why. He decides to go globe trotting searching for...

    He's Dead Tim, He's Dead 2

Chris Yost writes X-Force, perfect. If you're going to have a comic book about a strike team lead by Wolervine then Yost is your man. They can rile off dumb one liners as much as they want and at the end of the day it fits. Red Robin does not fit. In case you haven't hear Tim Dra- Wayne is on the look out for Bruce and he decided to check Europe. Everything Tim says is smoothered in BAD-I-TUDE and his motivations seem unlikely. During Battle for the Cowl I stupidly believed that Tim might be the...

Is This A Good Change? 1

Originally posted June 10, 2009.  Just as the 'new' Batman and Robin weren't too hard to figure out, you probably have an idea who this 'new' Red Robin is.  Along with a new name, this character has taken on a new direction.  It looks like he's done playing around.            Without giving away the "mysterious" person at the end, the fact that Red Robin isn't the only one searching for Bruce adds another dynamic to this book.  We're starting out with pretty much a grade-A 'villain.'  Do ...

1st issue of Red Robin 0

So Tim Drake is having a little wproblem with the fact that Dick Grayson gave Damian the role as Robin. He also apparently can not accept the death of Batman. So feeling he sets out on a search for Bruce Wayne. He ends up in Checlosavakia, where he discovers gangs are pretty much the same everywhere, and he becomes distracted from his search.     The character progression of Tim Drake has just been moving along during the Battle of the Cowl books, and here he is definitely his own hero. The b...
