Red Hood The Lost Days chronicles Jason Todd's rise from dead partner of Batman to an enemy of The Batman Family.  In Part one we see the relationship between Jason and Talia before he was thrust into the Pit and changed into the character we know today.     What You Need To Know. Judd Winick, the writer who brought Jason Todd back as a player in the Batman Universe, returns to the character that he re-introduced and made popular once more.  Pablo Raimondi lends his artwork.    The Good. Judd...

Red Hood: To Buy, Glimpse or Skip? 1

Summary:    Taking place after Jason's resurrection, Jason is treated by Talia due to the wounds caused by the Joker. However Ra's sees no recovery results and Talia must go behind her father's back to save the Robin she believes in.  The Good:   Over the years Jason Todd has become a major character in the "Bat Universe" and has been the villain for man titles. It was only right that we see his before story. Many factors are in play when we Jason's return; Talia and Ra's bumping heads, Batman b...

Talia al Ghul: The Lost Days 0

Most of us know HOW Jason Todd came back to life. We know now that most comic book characters don't stay dead. Thanks to Superboy-Prime, he got a second chance at life. We also know that Talia found him and "nursed" him back to help. However, what we don't know is what Jason Todd's been doing before he decided to become the Red Hood. This is where Red Hood: The Lost Years come to play. With this first issue, instead of getting the story in the point of view with Jason, we're stuck with Talia al ...

Most anticipated event of the summer, for me at least 1

Let me start things off by saying I've always been a giant Jason Todd, his character back story, nature of his demise and rebirth always struck me as fantastic comic book writing. I've never really understood why so many people have hated him over the years, but with Damian rearing his 10 year old bad ass head, some of the hate has been thrown towards him.  This has to be one of my most anticipated events of the summer, following The Return of Bruce Wayne, so I went into this with great expectat...

    Red Hood! 0

The Short and Sweet Review  The Good -First time i've been introduced to Judd Winick, so i must say i loved the writing in this issues. its very well written and you can easily see the progression of the story. The dialogue and monologue were very good, and didnt even have a hint of cheesiness.-Art was amazing, esp when Talia and Jason were sitting on the cliff. -I liked how Talia mentioned to Jason that Batman will never be the same without him and he misses him, it just connected all these sca...

Finally some Red Hood background 0

Jason Todd was savagely beaten by the Joker. His death was one of the pivotal moments in Batman’s career. This death would haunt Bruce Wayne for years. He only begins to heal when he meets Tim Drake the third boy to wear the Robin costume. In 2004 Jason returned to the DC universe as the villainous Red Hood. Writer Judd Winick (“Pedro and me” and “Superman/Shazam: First Thunder”) attempts t tell how Jason returned from the grave in DC’s new limited series “Red Hood: The Lost Days.” Th...

    Jason Todd: Rebirth? 0

Back when Judd Winick brought Jason Todd back, I wasn't against the idea of breaking one of the golden "dead means dead" rules in comics. Much like the case with Bucky over in Marvel, I figured there were more, better stories to tell with him alive again than stories with meaningful stares at his memorial costume case. Winick's idea of making him the black sheep of the Bat-family and the fallen Robin seemed like an incredibly story-rich idea, and it panned out well during his run on the main Bat...

Red Hood Lost Days #1: Step Forward 0

Check out the review for "Red Hood: Lost Days #2 The Story Called Baptism" http://bit.ly/czevYN. "You Have Set Free A Curse Upon This World!" - Ra's Al Ghul. Judd Winick (Batman: Under The Hood) returns to write about "missing" adventures of Jason Todd. As Most (or all) should know, Jason Todd was brutally murdered by the Joker in the end of "Death In The Family". Years later, Judd Winick brought Jason back from the dead in, Batman: Under The Hood. Todd became the most feared criminal kingpin in...
