Red Hood and the Outlaws #15
Timothy Green II provides the art in this issue are there are something that I enjoy. The action is very well done and really makes the hits and blows look painful. Some of the expressions are well done as well. The story is a mixed bag. Jason was really cool in this issue because a big part of his history is being killed by the Joker and Scott Lobdell mentions this and it feels very tragic. This issue also kinda puts Jason more on the side of good instead of bad where he should be more often. The Joker is portrayed fairly well in this issue and he makes some of his jokes that really affect Jason and make the issue that much better.
THE BAD:
Timothy Green II is a great artist, but not for this series. His work looks nothing like what it does in other series and that is a disappointment. The art looks very uneven throughout and makes the issue seem a little lack-luster just from appearance. The story doesn't do much to bring up the issue as well. Joker brings out everything and makes sure Jason knows that he helped create him. This change isn't a good one and they just use it the fullest extent. Roy and Starfire also take a backseat and they turn into these character that readers couldn't care less about. The end was predictable and the crossover within a crossover seems really stupid.
THE VERDICT: 3.5/5 (Good)
This series once again shows that it is not consistent. The past few issues have been very good and this one dropped down in quality very fast. If you like Jason, this is something that you are going to want to get. If you want to get all of the Death of the Family crossovers, this is something you have to get, but if you only want to get the best of the tie ins, this is one to avoid and the worst one that I have read so far. Sorry, just didn't please me.
