Here's my choice:
Raven
Character » Raven appears in 1730 issues.
Raven battles the forces of evil alongside her adoptive family, the Teen Titans while trying to control her baser, antagonistic instincts she inherited from her demonic father, Trigon.
Who should play Raven in live action?
Sterling Jerins who plays the Warren's kid in The Conjuring films. I like the idea of an actress with a horror pedigree playing Raven and just look at those eyes.
Best of all: when they finally adapt Teen Titans, she'll be the perfect age! (thinking long term)
This may be a bit iffy... but, I was thinking that an actress playing Raven would have to have mastered the 'resting bitch face' expression... especially if they aim to mimic her cartoon personality.
Sticking to classic comics however (meaning Perez depiction and that they aim to make her look like that on the screen) I am thinking they should find someone with a 'tall forehead' and the body of a dancer. Since Perez was very specific about how each of the Titans physically differred from one one another... with Raven being the most 'average looking' of the girls when compared to the bombshell Starfire and the athletic Donna.
@outside_85: I don't see many studios seeking "average-looking" lol. I was thinking more along the lines of a Geoff Johns era look.
Going the cartoon route, Billie Lourd gave a pretty good deadpan performance on Scream Queens, obviously the hair would change.

Well, I was referring to the fact that Raven in comics isn't exactly considered a bombshell that means a slew of slobbering man-children following her around hoping she'd notice them. But you are right, 'average-looking' probably isn't what is going to appear in the wanted add... but it could be in the back of the casting directors head that: "we dont need someone with huge boobs". Anyways, looks are always just one thing, the more important thing is that the actress can pull off the personality they are aiming for. (Not to mention that with Raven there is a good chance of her suddenly looking alot different.)
@warrior100: Good call, Jane Levy would be great. Scary in Evil Dead, funny in Suburgatory, all-round good actress.

Just saying, even when they cast a girl to be ugly - 9 times out of ten she's noticeably not ugly. Plus Raven has spent a longer time being drawn cute than average so they have an excuse to cast that way - one I'm sure they would use.
Personally I favour Johns-era angel-faced Raven, it seems so appropriately ironic.
I wouldn't mind Native American Raven at all, I worry though that people these days might take a character representing a minority "while trying to control her baser, antagonistic instincts she inherited" the wrong way so I would expect her to be Caucasian. That is, if you were talking ethnicity.
I recently watched social media horror Friend Request (the one that wasn't filmed on webcams) and was impressed by the performance of Liesl Ahlers who played Marina the art student with 0 friends.
She came off very creepy yet very sympathetic (maybe it was the combination of puppy dog eyes with barely-there eyebrows?) I think she suits Raven well.
@fangdanerd: and we have a winner!
@wastelandman: lol Morgan Freeman can play anything
@scott_summers52: well ,she has been cast to play Raven.
@super_ninja: Yeah, I realize that. I just think she looks too young for the part.
I guess they're emphasizing the "Teen" in Teen Titans.

Exactly.
@scott_summers52: i'm really curious to see who will play Starfire and beast boy.
@super_ninja: Hopefully they do them justice, I've always wanted a live action Marv Wolfman/George Perez-inspired Titans show.
Lily Collins
@fangdanerd: Ew! Fuck Teagan Croft! ?
