Rat Pack are four men, imprisoned by the military authorities for their crimes whilst serving soldiers. They are freed to carry out "suicide missions" which no-one else could complete - and lead by Major Taggart, who knows how dirty they will fight and keeps them focussed on the enemy, rather than on him. Of course, they repeatedly threaten to kill him and he often threatens them with returning them to jail.
