Battle of the Atom is coming up, and with it comes the return of Kate Pride. Now, I may be wrong, but we've only seen Kate Pride in Days of Future Past, which coincidentally is where we first met Rachel Summers. We've never seen the origins of which timeline Rachel comes from, which got me thinking (a dangerous game). Rachel never discusses her parents from her timeline, and she never explains her true origins. I'm just wondering if maybe this is when she's born. Like any two stupid teenagers, Scott and Jean do the nasty, and whoops, there's Rachel. Is it so far fetched? I mean, Jean and Scott traveled to the future to raise Nathan. Maybe they traveled to this future to pop out Rachel...

No, but the girl comes to a future, where she finds out she died, her husband cheated on her and essentially kissed his new girlfriend over her grave, while her corpse was still fresh, and that her mentor is freaking dead. I'd be a little different too.

@silentecko711: He didn't die. In issue 39 of Ultimate X-men, it was revealed that he was alive. He just had a huge scar, where part of his face was blown off.

The High Evolutionary gave him sort of "false" powers. I don't think they were necessarily genetic powers. When hope restarted the mutant population, I think it erased whatever the High Evolutionary gave him, and kickstarted his old genetic powers. So, now he's starting over from square one, as if he were a teenager again.

Here's what I'd like to see. It's revealed that the Scarlet Witch sent the Phoenix Force into an alternate marvel universe. This Phoenix finds that multiverse's Jean Grey. The Multiverse Jean begins jumping from multiverse to multiverse gathering Multiple Jean Grey's to contain the power of the Phoenix. Eventually, they end up back in the 616 universe, as an all Jean Grey Phoenix 4 looking for their number five. They resurrect 616 Jean, and a battle ensues. All supper teams fight the P5, but this time the Phoenix knows better and kills the Scarlet Witch before it kills her. This time, they're like screw it, we're not playing around anymore. We're going to kill off the host of the Phoenix Force, it just has to be done. So, they get down to the last Jean Grey, and under pressure, she rejects the Phoenix Force and spits it out of her body into Quentin Quire's body. Quentin Quire can't handle it and ends up killing himself, because fuck Quentin Quire.

Jean Grey's mutation is also affected by the Phoenix Force, but her powers don't work anymore. She leaves the X-men deciding that Scott and Logan are both douche bags. She finds out that Charles Xavier left her a large inheritance that she then uses to gain entrance into the Hellfire Club and becomes Black Queen. She starts her own team, and blah, blah, blah, adventures.

My theory is that Charles Xavier jumped into Scott's mind just as he died. Now Charles is using Scott's body to screw with everyone's powers and he's decided fuck peaceful cohabitation, all it got me was death, and now he's fucking with everything.

@x_29: Listen, if you're going to do something, you do it right. These men have access to whatever x-men comics they need. Continuity, no matter how small, isn't something you screw with.

I actually kind of like it. It gets so boring seeing the same old couples. It's fun to shake things up a little, like with Bobby and Kitty. Bobby isn't pathetically hung up on Lorna anymore, and Kitty isn't dating someone who's more hung up on his sister than his girlfriend. Win- Win.

I wonder if she's lost her ability to control her powers now that Charles is dead. I mean, he was the one who shut it off psychically, but does the psychic shunt stick or did it wear off once he died?

Natalie Portman would have made the best Rogue ever. Hands down.
