This is odd. They took X-23's relationship with Hellion so slow but now they've got her sleeping with Angle??? Seems very out of character but I get the sad feeling that this is going to happen a lot in the future after Wolverines death. What do the rest of you think?
Well it is Bendis. He is known for not giving a crap about past characterizations of some characters in order to tell the story he wants to tell.
..Even better, there are tons of young mutants not being used right now. Make a team out of them and put her in it with Hellion. Instead we get Amazing X-Men, ANOTHER book with Wolverine in it lol.
Lol. How retrospectively ironic. In trying to honor Xavier's legacy, she's managed to become more of a jerk to the people who love and care about her because of some innate obligation and duty of care to people who hardly know her (and shouldn't even be here)?!
She used to be such a nice character...then Bendis happened.
lol you forgot to mention that she became a whiny brat too. Broke up with Iceman because he didnt believe in her?
Actually, Kitty was always a whiny brat, everyone just forgot that after she left the team.
As for her breaking up with Iceman, she did break up with him after he went nuts with god-like powers and almost destroyed the world. Considering she'd just been through basically the same thing with Colossus, it makes sense that she would see that as at least, too much, too soon..
Xavier was a great man & like most great men he was flawed as well. in trying to do what he thought was for the betterment of his race he actually caused alot of heartache & misfortune. the deadly genesis incident, his non-caring attitude towards legion for years, his harsh treatment of some of his students, Onslaught... & the list may go on. but overall because of Xavier mutants have come along way & scott turned out to be a great leader because of Xavier's teaching. Onslaught was the price Xavier paid yet the writers continued to denounce & disrespect his character to try & give way to new characters like vulcan
Superhero comics are normally goofy, so I do not see why that is an issue with this. Also, you wanna know a x-title that doesn't do much else: All New X-men.
It's all personal taste. I happen to agree entirely with @inferiorego here. I'm not big on "silly" comics. I see a bit more substance in ANXM. It's why Slott doesn't appeal much to me, and why most of Jason Aaron's X-Men stuff doesn't appeal to me.
Love Ed McGuinness's art, but that's all there is here for me.
Thats fair. While I am not crazy about the book, ANXM always has excellent artwork and coloring.
