There was several reasons why this book was made into an ashcan comics, but the obvious one is the costume.  The bat-emblem was designed to not resemble any of the versions used by Batman, but the costume was a bit too much like Nightwing. To avoid fan confusion, I cancelled that series, and started a new one in a new costume, with new characters, and more action.

Blackwing begins his heroic career as a character on a TV show. In the original version of the comic, which now the Ashcan, the television aspect got lost between script and pencil. Since then, I have taken the original story, and broke it into three parts. When these books come out, the difference will be highly noticeable.The best part will be the trash-talk between Blackwing and Razor.
