@CannotSpellMyName: Nice rant, I admit I enjoy reading some of the back and forth rant columns (one of my fave is Superman vs Wonder Woman which got to about 16 pages long http://www.comicvine.com/forums/battles/7/superman-vs-wonderwoman/529182/ )

Rabid fanboyness will never die, from console wars to DC vs Marvel, I'm just glad that some people are great at articulating their arguments... although trying to compare characters from different publishers that can date back 50-80 years, whilst trying to adhere to Comic book Canon (that most of the writers are not fully versed in, and can dismiss at their own leisure) is convoluted enough without including personal opinions (gotta love that PIS tag).

I do have a lot of respect for comic book writers who are willing to make decisive decisions to settle old arguments, geek rage must have been at a all-time high when Geoff Johns decided that Barry Allen is faster than Superman in the Flash: Rebirth and that Barry had just been humouring Superman all this time.

@NEEK_03: I've always found the without morals option a hard thing to properly comprehend with master strategists.

I always thought that strategically, Lex Luthor was a good representative of what Batman would be capable of if he seriously didn't care about anyone or anything, maybe mixed with the unpredictability of the Joker.

@Romulus9000: I respect your opinion, Dick's stock went up a lot when he got made into Batman and even before that he has carved out a niche as a leader. It is well documented on here that Batman is the god of prep (being considered one of DC's top strategists by some) but purely winging it has worked against him to various degrees.

Also, I'd like to state that by looking at your last scan, with morals off I bet Dick would sacrifice the rest of the Robins to take Batman down. (although again, there is not much proof of what Bruce/Dick are capable of when they are not living by the bat-code)

Team 1: Captain Marvel and Captain Britain

Team 2: Darkseid and Apocolypse

DC and Marvel characters do not know each other's strength's or weaknesses.

Fight set on a jungle planet, morals on, both teams start ten miles away, team members start 2 miles away from each other.

Zero prep time, nor do they know the enemies initial location.

No special equipment (all brought to the planet without a moment's notice)

Both Captain Britain and Darkseid are pre DCnU.

With Morals off, wouldn't Jason Todd just shoot batman whilst the others distract him? he is after all a great marksman and the fight is set in New York so getting a gun wouldn't be hard...

Actually, does anyone think Batman would resort to a gun with Morals off?

I'm not clued in on Iron Man's current setup, I know in his oldest suits he used to be out for six minutes.

And in some cases he has powered down before the impact (having received a prompt from JARVIS)

But I'm not sure if it's ever been specifically shown that he is now EMP proof...

@BringnIt: sorry, not a debate, just a slow response...

@WillPayton: And still has a spare moment to solve a few riddles and read a newspaper about Joker escaping again?

I'm sure one day there will be a rule that Batman can only be included in battles if he has absolutely no prep, is totally naked, suffering from amnesia and has a miniature explosive inside his brain due to detonate in 3 seconds...

I think you are all selling Knuckles short (I've had to resort to Wikipedia)

Knuckles is physically one of the strongest characters of the Sonic series, if not the strongest. His brute strength is often depicted as equivalent to that of Sonic's speed. His extraordinary physical strength enables him to perform feats such as shattering boulders with his fists. He is a master of martial arts with a specialty in punching. He uses Spin Attacks like Sonic, which are variations on the tendency for echidnas to roll into tight spiny balls for protection.

Speed isn't everything, there have been many times that the faster guy is beaten (otherwise the Flash would be DC's strongest character)

If Shadow didn't have the chaos emerald I'd say it would be less one-sided considering that "with the power of a Chaos Emerald, Shadow can warp time and space with Chaos Control."
