So the whole Jackal thing ruined Ben...and now he will be even worse ? I mean the guy died in every possible fashion and now convinced that he should re-animate everybody, even though they will turn into freaking zombies in the end. Somehow he will escape in the end and be nothing like Ben Reiley the people love. Getting hunted by Kaine of all people.
I honestly have no hope for this, not after what Marvel did to many characters and how it tainted them to the point of me never wanting to read anything with them in it. Besides, we are at the Spider-overload for titles. I mean even Batman didn't have this much.

Wait...what happened to the other Ray? The 4 part miniseries? Lucien? I mean, I have most Freedom Fighters runs, Justice League Taskforce, Uncle Sam, and The Ray series' and all, I know Raymond well. But They just kind of made Lucien and tossed him out and never went anywhere with it.

i notice reading marvel lately there is no light hearted moments there is no down town, the issues always end with someone being effed up or about to be effed up lol
i like my venom with a hint of good to him, a lethal protector is the most i will accept. eddie or flash. everyt ime i get use to a host they switch it up again ffs. Took a while for me to get use to flash but ok great he was a good guy again there was character development, the symbiote was cured, time for it to do good.

are yeah thats the point, first issue, makes sense they tribute it with an image of the first appearance of venom. The background is still lazy and terrible mind you, but they want you to notice. They aren't hiding anything when they do this.
I'm actually fine with him doing something so out of character. He's not responsible for his actions right now and once he gets his mind and memories back in order he will be tortured by what he did. Finding a way to atone and forgive himself will be an interesting plot for the character to go through. Especially if he has to weigh the responsibility of getting back out there to fight if he thinks he can't trust himself.
thats the thing, people made a big deal about this, made a bunch of memes and so on, they act like they never read a comic before. People get brain washed all the time. It was almost embarrassing seeing these "hardcore" readers thinking he actually went bad forever

so far each show has had a villain that was able to counter the hero, maybe be with powers, or just resources. I don't think this one will be any different.
I admit I'm suprised he got his powers as an adult. After what we saw from the USB-Drive in Jessica Jones I expected him to have been experimented on as a kid. Also wondering who or what they are putting in as a physical threat for him, given that he seems completely unaffected by any kind of regular weapon. Not that they couldn't make a suspenseful show with villains threatening the people around him as their way of attacking him, but I would expect at least one guy that could potentially kill him in the movie.
