she'd lift her head as the scent of chocolate filled the air. there sat a cup of hot chocolate for her, complete with those miniature marshmellows she loved. she reached for the mug and cradled it in her hands as she took a small sip. he waited till she was done before sliding his arms around her and drawing her close. she leaned back against him, letting everything else melt away
she looked up at him and smiled, her normally brilliant browns seeming a little dull. standing on tiptoes, she kissed him softly before walking to their booth to curl up in. him being here came at just the right time. he knew she'd needed him and he came. it made her feel safe to know he'd always come. laying her head down on the table, she closed her eyes softly
"Nate? I.. I didn't think I would see you tonight. Yeah, everything's fine. I was just having a bad night. Nothing this hug won't fix, though."
she slid her arms around him and she closed her eyes, softly. letting out a sigh, she simply let her head rest against his chest. when she felt his fingers curl in her hair, she let out a little whimper and hugged tighter
"Yeah. That whole dying thing? I'm strongly against that. It really puts a cramp in.. living."
she watched DH clean up the mess and she slid him a refill. turning, she would speak to the newcomer
"DH, the refill of soda's on the house. And Mister...... ah.... sorry I don't know your name, but I'll be happy to get you something. At no charge, of course."
she floated the soda across the counter to DH and then sat down with a sigh. she glanced at the people in the shop and she just shrugged
"Life can and is bad most all the time. At least mine is. You.. people just.. you just don't know."
she groaned at the thought of having to clean the ketchup up. that probably wasn't the smartest move, but it was that or punch something. rather break glass than her hand
"I seriously hate life some days. It does noting but suck."
throwing the towel she held on the counter, she angrily picked up a bottle off ketchup and hurled it across the room. she exhaled and tried to let go of the tension
