Unfortunately, it must be said so that none of us keep our heads in the clouds about this: even if this movie were to be made, you know that the people to be assigned to make it would so drastically alter it from what we've known it to be that all that would come out would be a movie based in space, with a lady in a battlesuit. They would slap the name "Metroid" on the movie, and sit back feeling confident that they've made something better than the original and fans everywhere will love them for it. Her name probably won't even be Samus until they change it back due to fans being outraged on the internet.

Now, as for MY dreams for this movie, it would comfort my own fears to know that they chose an actress that was older (late 30's to mid-40's) and wasn't simply in it because she was attractive. Realistically, women who take careers like hers seriously don't have faces and bodies that look like they had an easy life. This doesn't mean I want some hag, but a perfect example is Sarah Conner from Terminator II. Yes, she almost had to be in it because of being cast in the first movie, but who would have expected her to pull off her character as well as she did? She didn't go into it wanting to just be some hottie on the screen.

As for director, I would like Michael Bay. At least with him, you know he only tweaks the story enough to make a story to tell. He doesn't set out to remake the original, but merely to make it work on film.

As for Mother Brain, didn't they find a enormous jelly fish off the coast of Australia a couple years back? ;)

I'm kind of new to the site here. How do we change Echo's power ranking?

And I assume "Adaptive" is what they're calling her Photographic Reflexes.

Alright, who would win? Is it in Taskmaster's favor simply due to experience, or does Echo have a trick up her sleeve?

Then how is this done? I don't believe it to merely be a matter of one going unto his page, clicking the edit button, and removing them. Is there a moderator or some site admin to contact? This may all sound trivial, but it is little errors like this that work to debunk the interlining truth to the whole site. While we all enjoy looking up our favorite characters, there are some that we go to looking for more information on - and no one wants to walk away suddenly believing this character to have some sort of power they don't, like Electrical Disruption (why is that a power of its own, by the way?).

I've heard that Kang and Rama-Tut are supposedly Doctor Doom, but from some other timeline. Is there any truth to this?

Heart of Infinity says:

"supes is weak to magic so maybe doom will find a way to enhance his magic pulverizing supes of course he would probably have to make another trap slowing supes down so he wont dodge dooms magic and kang could thoeretically time travel and destroy superman as a baby"

I was about to say that myself. Well, not all of that, but the part about Doom and magic and how it is a weakness of Supermans. :)

fesak says:

"Someone has put radiation on all the Fantastic Four too, perhaps they believe that's how they got their powers. Same as when a while ago someone put Genetic Manipulation on nearly all mutants. Noobs."

Alright, then is there a way to remove this? Doom and his "powers" have nothing to do with Radiation.

While I can see this with the Fantastic Four, they don't have any control over radiation itself. They don't emit it, they don't control it.

When someone goes to look up a character, they don't want to see a list of fifty different powers - they just want the relevant ones. EVERYONE has Unarmed Combat, but I think we all agree that this "power" should only be listed with individuals who have shown to have some sort of skill or natural ability in it. Wolverine, yes, Franklin Richards, no.

I mean, Doctor Doom has the power of Radiation and Electricity Control? I don't ever remember that.

Also, Doom is listed as having a "7 Intellect", apparently thus making him omniscient. Well, Doom is DAMN smart, but omniscient?

It's funny, but I seem to be the only one here who seems to believe that Doom stands a chance. That said, and since the creator of the thread doesn't even seem to find it much of a battle, why even post this? Just to pump up the Loki fanbase? ;)

Damn, I have to go. Maybe I can hop back on later tonight.

But my ultimate answer is that the longer that Doom has to prepare, the more I feel the odds tip in his favor. Though, yes, I suppose the same would hold true for Loki. But that is what makes this such an interesting fight. I've seen many battles on these boards, and this was the first to really grab my attention.

But, again, it comes down to intellect vs. cunning. Loki may have the magic of the gods, but Doom's magic has been said to be the second best on Earth (second only to Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Strange). But as far as "god magic" goes, Loki specializes in magic dealing with trickery. Doom shouldn't have much of a time seeing through these, and Loki - no fool himself - would know this, and try for other methods of combating Doom.
