1. Blackest Night is only "dark" by title. Even Infinite and final Crisis are darker than Blackest Night. Hell, even Sinestro Corps War was darker than Blackest Night.
2. Fear Itself, lame as it was, was darker than Blackest Night. Dark Reign, another lame Marvel Event, was also darker than Blackest Night.
3. Marvel has no Elseworlds.
