Chris Bachalo's one of those artists who requires a certain combination of inks and colours to really shine. Here, the light colours and minimalist shading really help to bring out detail in his figures which are usually obscured by darker colours (i'm thinking of his earlier work on Ultimate x men).
@haloprogram: Maybe its the set up halo? With superior spiderman there was some consistency in that Otto was still concerned with the defense of New York. He was a not-so-friendly neighbourhood spiderman, which helped to avoid the unfamiliarity of the new technology and character. Spiderman is fundamentally a street-level character, and i feel that Slott's trying to make the comic too much like Batman Inc. (which worked since wayne had international connections, allies, enemies etc.).
I think it will either be Kaine or Ezekiel. It would be interesting if Ezekiel returned; he could fulfill a mentor role for both Parker Industries and Silk.
