It sure as heck should not be Peter Parker. I would like to see a random stranger on the street take over as Spider-Man. They can then change the title from "The Superior SM" to "The RANDOM SM"!

If I wrote Spiderman Peter would return but with fractured memories of who he really is getting mixed with old Doc Oc memories.

This would seeemingly drive him a little crazy and he would be kicked out of his house and have to become homeless, giving the tone a gritty redemprion feel.

And as he lives and works with the hoeless he realizes he has powers and becomes the protector of the homeless population of New York.

So his fighting skills will be a mix of easy and brutal as the memories collide.

But overall he wants to do the right thing, but needs to learn how starting from the bottom.

He also may get forced to be addicted to meth.

That way his body wants one thing but he feels he must try to ignore it.
