Is that bigass #1 in the top right corner something new for Marvel? It's been a few months since I've read comics and I don't remember seeing it before.
If so, they need to do that all the time--DC too--instead of relaunching a book with a new #1 every fifteen seconds. Just note runs and volumes like that while keeping the traditional, larger number count elsewhere on the cover.
I always liked this design for the hammer better. However I would prefer a Thor where he gains power outside of Mjolnir. That would be great he surpasses the need for that and truly become his own man
Considering he's an Elder God, he should've long passed the need of relying on the hammer to begin with. Hell, since the hammer was remade with his life force, there's no reason for him to have become Unworthy, either.
Pulling a panel out of a book from 2 decades ago and slapping it on some background and giving it some color touchups is not getting an artist to draw a cover.
I'm glad Pre Flashpoint Lois will get to play a greater role in the Superman line by going back to the Daily Planet again and using her old talents for new kinds of journalistic investigation. It's good to see her presented as a mother in continuity but her roots at The Daily Planet shouldn't be overlooked. But even though Lois is being written well, I can't deny how odd it is that no one has noticed a slight age difference between the older Pre Flashpoint Lois and the New 52 Lois. New 52 Lois would probably be in her mid to late 20s whereas Pre 52 Lois is late 30s. If they don't notice now, they will in a couple years.
Lance Hunter was better when he was an old fat guy before Agents of SHIELD made him young and not fat for sole reason that, back then, characters and backstories weren't randomly altered to align with a movie or a tv show.
