About Me

I don't know how to describe a typical comic book reader, but the guys at the comic book store where I go call me the anti-fan since I am so different from the rest of the customer base. I am a married, African American, female lawyer who's been reading comic books for as long as I can remember.

Marvel Comics are definitely my favorites. I started off reading Thor comics as a kid because that was what my father and big brother read. Then one day in the store, I saw an X-Men comic book with Storm on the cover. There was this gorgeous black woman who seemed to be kicking ass, so I asked my mother to buy it for me. She did and I have been in love with the X-Men and Storm in particular ever since.

I also read a few DC comics (Wonder Woman and Justice League).
