I can completely understand grievances with the story.

The only way I can see myself enjoying this is if the theory that this is the Ben who died during Spider-Verse, and not 616 Ben. As the "reanimation" process is very similar to the cloning process being done by the Inheritors. It could make for a much more interesting twist, in my opinion.

But this seems unlikely considering I saw it mentioned in the thread that Ben has been the Jackal for years, since Spider-Island, and presumably some time before that. Strikes me as a bit odd, because a lot of the Jackal's motivations have remained true to the Jackal and not in line with his current thinking. (Under the assumption Ben has always had this "heroic" goal.)

But I also agree with what was said earlier. I always thought Ben could come back with little explanation, but this will be something to say the least..

This comment section seems geared toward there being some sort of problem with X-23 as Wolverine.

Now if Wolverine had been killed, just so Laura could take over, that would be different.

But Death of Wolverine, Life After Logan, Wolverines were all a spanning epic and well-told stories, it just so happens that in the aftermath of those events that Laura Kinney has decided to take on the mantle of Wolverine.

It's not super odd that rather than letting a name like Wolverine go to waste, they give it to another character. And a character who it makes sense would take on the identity. Laura and Logan always had a close relationship (it bounced between Father-daughter and brother sister, but close all the same) which included Logan's attempts to make up for things he felt responsible for, and in doing so give Laura a life greater than the on given to her, and even that he had.

Meanwhile, Laura is trying to atone for everything the Weapon Plus program made her go through. And every series' she has had was about her going through different stages of this while Gambit, Jubilee and Logan supported her best they could. It's not at all surprising that in the wake of her father's demise, she decides to honor him by wearing his colors and carrying on in his name.

I know Marvel has never been big on legacies or legacy character, but they exist and they flesh out the universe. They give a sense of time that Marvel desperately needs to set. You can chalk it up to SJW propaganda if you want, but Death of Wolverine was a great story and a good send off for Logan, and All-New Wolverine is nice progression for Laura.
