Aspects of Death
This is a list made up of characters from different companies who all represent or are connected to The Force of Nature we call Death in one way or another. It isn't complete yet.

The abstract known as Oblivion represents the complete absence of life itself and has long sought to bring all life in The Marvel Universe to an end. He is the Son/Brother/Husband to Eternity, Infinity, Mistress Death, Galactus and Abraxas. His main rival is Infinity.

The abstract being known as Mistress Death represents all aspects of Death itself in The Marvel Universe. She is worshiped by Thanos of Titan, whom she has made her lover and is the Daughter/Sister/Wife to Eternity, Infinity, Oblivion, Galactus and Abraxas. Her main rival is Eternity.

Nekron is both The Lord of The Unliving and The Master of The Black Lantern Corps. His ultimate goal is to return the Universe to it's primordial state of being and annihilate all life in the process so that he may feast on the souls of every living being in the Universe for all eternity.

The Black Flash is an aspect of Death which comes for beings linked to The Speed Force once it senses that their time has come. Though it is possible to evade him, those who do are only stalling the inevitable, for none can ever truly escape his grasp.

When the ex-Guardian of The Universe known as Scar was exposed to the poisonous touch of The Anti-Monitor, her body died and her soul rotted away and as it did the voice of Nekron grew louder in her head. He corrupted her with his thoughts, with his ideals and eventually brought her over to his side, appointing her as his Guardian. For months she has been betraying her "fellow" Guardians and working in secret to prepare for Nekron's return.

The Anti-Monitor is an unimaginably powerful entity from The Anti-Matter Universe who has brought death and destruction on more than one occasion to The DC Universe. However, where he was once The Master of Sinestro's Army, he is now a slave to the will of Nekron and has been made into the source of The Black Lantern Corps' power.

William Hand, a criminal who has been corrupted by the voice of Nekron for as long as he can remember, is now so much more than the punching bag he used to be seen as by the superhero community. He is now Nekron's Herald and The Black Incarnate which is essentially The Black Lantern equivalent to Ion, Parallax and The Predator.

Before he rose as a Black Lantern to serve the will of Nekron, Kal-L was the original Golden Age Superman of Earth-2. He was one of the greatest heroes who ever lived and died protecting The DC Universe from total annihilation at the hands of the mentally-deranged Superboy-Prime.

Before he rose as a Black Lantern to serve the will of Nekron, Roger Hayden a.k.a. The Second Psycho-Pirate, used the legendary Medusa Mask to manipulate the emotions of others and take complete control over them. With The Medusa Mask, Hayden's power was so great that not even The Spectre himself was immune to it.

Coyote Starrk was the First Espada and was the most powerful Espada aside from Yammy Rialgo. So powerful in fact that in the days before he became an Arrancar, he was forced to spend all of his time in seclusion due to the fact that any weaker Hollow who came into contact with him lost their souls and died. He was so alone and so envious of the weak that eventually he split into two separate entities. Like all Espada, Coyote Starrk represented one of ten different aspects of Death, his was Loneliness.

Baraggan Luisenbarn, the Second Espada, was once The God-King of Hueco Mundo until the day Sōsuke Aizen arrived and overthrew him. Though he joined forces with Aizen, Baraggan never considered Aizen to be above him and swore in secret that one day he would kill Aizen even if it took him an eternity to do so. Like all Espada, Baraggan represented one of ten different aspects of Death, his was Aging.

Tia Harribel was the Third Espada and a former Sōsuke Aizen loyalist, that is until he decided to cut all his losses following the deaths of Baraggan Luisenbarn and Coyote Starrk by killing Tia himself. Like all Espada, Tia represented one of ten different aspects of Death, hers was Sacrifice.

Ulquiorra Cifer was the Fourth Espada, one of Ichigo Kurosaki's most powerful rivals. It was he who tricked Orihime Inoue into coming to Las Noches and it was he who was assigned to watch over her during the time in which she was held prisoner. Like all Espada, Ulquiorra represented one of ten different aspects of Death, his was Nihilism

Nnoitra Jirunga was the Fifth Espada and nearly killed Ichigo, Orihime and Nel Tu until he was confronted and slaughtered by Eleventh Division Captain Kenpachi Zaraki of The Gotei 13. Like all Espada, Nnoitra represented one of ten different aspects of Death, his was Despair.

Grimmjow Jeagerjaques was the Sixth Espada and one of Ichigo Kurosaki's, as well as Ulquiorra Cifer's, most powerful rivals. Like all Espada, Grimmjow represented one of ten different aspects of Death, his was Destruction.

Zommari Leroux was the Seventh Espada and aside from Ulquoirra Cifer was the one the most loyal of Sōsuke Aizen's Espada, so much so that even as his body turned to dust following his defeat at the hands of Byakuya Kuchiki, he praised Aizen to the highest as if he were a God and did not stop until there was nothing left of him. Like all Espada, Zommari represented one of ten different aspects of Death, his was Intoxication.

Szayel Aporro Granz was the Eighth Espada and was essentially the Arrancar equivalent of Twelfth Division Captain Mayuri Kurosutchi with one difference, Szayel believed himself to be perfect whereas Mayuri believed perfection to be a lie. Like all Espada, Szayel represented one of ten different aspects of Death, his was Madness.

Aaroniero Arruruerie was the Ninth Espada and the only Gillian to ever reach the status of Espada due to a unique ability that allowed him to evolve without limit and completely consume other Hollows' powers, memories and abilities, thus giving him the potential to become Near-Omnipotent. In addition to the 33,360 Hollows he had consumed over the ages, Aaroniero had also indirectly absorbed a Soul Reaper named Kaien Shiba when he consumed the Hollow Metastacia, whom Kaien had been fused with at the time of his death. This allowed Aaroniero to pose as Kaien and use his abilities in such a way that he nearly convinced Rukia Kuchiki that he was indeed Kaien Shiba. Like all Espada, Aaroniero represented one of ten different aspects of Death, his was Greed.

Yammy Rialgo is both the Tenth and the Zeroth Espada, meaning he is both the weakest and the strongest of them all. Due to his low level of intelligence, Yammy often relied on Ulquiorra Cifer to point out and explain things for him. Ulquiorra's death prompted Yammy to show his true self and his true power, with which he nearly destroyed Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends until Byakuya Kuchiki, Kenpachi Zaraki and Mayuri Kurosutchi confronted him and engaged him in combat. Like all Espada, Yammy represents one of ten different aspects of Death, his is Rage.

The Grim Reaper is the brother of the retired hero called Wonder Man and is also one of greatest foes The Avengers have ever faced. The source of his dark power is Death and with that power he rains Death and Destruction down upon the innocent.

The Black Racer is another aspect of The Black Flash and is in turn another aspect of Death.

Annihilus, a former ruler of The Negative Zone, is commonly known as "The Living Death That Walks". It was said by Mistress Death herself that Annihilus has a far more intimate knowledge of her nature than anyone else in the Universe, including her lover Thanos, does as he has spent his entire existence obsessing over finding ways to evade Death through intense studying and through the acquisition of greater power.
