Characters I want to write

As an aspiring writer I have a pretty extensive list of characters I wanna write. This will probably also double up as a my favorite characters list. Especially for the first 5 or whatever.

List items

  • Fantomex is just the coolest. He has so many layers and he's all cool and stuff so yeah. Fantomex. Remender is really the main reason I love him so much though. I'm not sure if I'd like to write him in a team or as a solo, but it'd be a team lead by Jean Phillipe.

  • Swamp Thing is the cleverest and most interesting character I think I've ever read. He's got probably the most creative origin and there are so many cool things to do with ol' Swampy. Yeah Swamp Thing ftw. Read Alan Moore's run.

  • Such an interesting character with a really imaginative back story and y'know there is so much cool stuff that can be done with Rand. You can have a 70's buddy cop movie set in Harlem or an epic Kung Fu mystical quests. Yeah. Danny Rand the Iron Fist.

  • Such a deep and interesting character. Love his determination and just heroic-ness. A true hero and its so cool to see him stick with that mentality and not become all broody and dark.

  • Obvious choice but just the pure concept of Superman is great. He is a man who is pretending to be a god. He is a allegory for humanity and he's exactly what we need him to be. During the depression he was a hero of the people, 60's he was a space knight battling weird and wonderful threats and even now he's a very modern whilst still retaining who Superman is at the core. To add a brick to that magnificent wall would be an honor.

  • Wonder Woman often falls into the deep pit of being the just a chick type character or a female Superman. She is a warrior, she's selfless but cunning. Loving but dangerous. I'd like to try and have a balance between the Greek legends and her impact on Earth, she'd be like a cultural icon.

  • She is the character that is Gotham. Batman has the big battles with Joker and Penguin for the fate of Gotham but Catwoman is the hero who really stands up for the people. She is the hero who helps the prostitutes and vulnerable that Batman is too busy having a good brood over the death of Robin #133. I'm comparing her to Batman which is ironic because Catwoman shouldn't have Batman showing up in her title every five seconds. She should really be her own character. Oh and I hate the overly sexualised Catwoman and how she also falls into the just a chick category. (Get it CATegory.) So yeah. So much more interesting than Batman. Speak of the devil.

  • So I just spent my Catwoman explanation bashing Batman but I really wouldn't focus on the 'Man' part of Bruce Wayne's alter ego. Batman is fucking crazy. He is still a 8 year old boy who is sad over the death of his parents. So I'd like to make the audience feel really detached from him and make him like a force of nature that has one goal. I don't think I'd write him in his main series but maybe like a mini or an else world.

  • The mutant evolutionary Scott. Not pussy, oh Jean I love you, Scott. The Scott around right now is just the best way to take his character and I'd love to give it a write.

  • Probably the only inde- character on this list. C'mon. Its Hellboy. He has a giant fist and gun. Yeah.
