Without a doubt the best villain in the entire franchise. He is the one responsible for the extinction of the Saiyans, making Bardock and Gine to send Son Goku to Earth, the death of Vegeta and Krillin among others and making Goku tap to his Legendary form, the Super Saiyan. He also returned to extract his revenge upon his most hated enemy, as a cyborg, but ultimately he was cut to pieces by Future Trunks.

When he first appeared he was a ruthless killer, killing his comrade Nappa without a second thought and tried to blow up the Earth because he was humiliated by Goku. In the Artificial Human's and Cell Arc, he allowed Cell to reach his Perfet Form, even though he could easily killed him. During the Majin Boo Arc he allowed Babiddi to take control of him just to be even with Kakkarot in terms of power. Ultimately he redeemed himself with a noble sacrifice to save his family, and the world.

The evil Majin Buu, responsible for the extinction of countless Solar Systems, the death of 3 KaioShin and the Supreme Kaioshin, the death of many members of the Z-Fighters and the extinction of the human race. Having by far the most transformations for a villain to defeat him, Goku and pals used an array of techniques, including SS3, Fusion, Potara and a Spirit Bomb(Genki Dama). Later his good half become a close friend to Mr. Satan and an ally of Goku.

The Ultimate life-form created by Dr. Gero to defeat Son Goku. Coming from a future timeline he is an amalgamation of the galaxy strongest warriors. He absorbed Cyborg 17 and 18 to reach his Perfect form and hosted the Cell games. Many people died by his hand(or tail) and he was the cause for Gohan to become SS2. In an attempt to take out Gohan along with the planet, he tried to self-destruct which took out Goku's life. Later he came back even stronger, killed Future Trunks but in the end a Father-Son Kamehameha between Goku and Gohan ended him.

The ruthless brother of Goku, he almost won the alliance made by Goku and Piccolo and because of him, Goku sacrificed himself. Raditz arrival was the point when the DragonBall Universe expanded to space, and a whole cosmos was ready to be explored.

Wanting to take revenge for his father defeat, Piccolo was the last villain of the first half of DragonBall. Being the reincarnation of the Demon King he also proclaims himself King of Darkness. He actually killed Goku but later became Goku's ally and in the end even friend. He also trained Gohan for the arrival of the Saiyans Nappa and Vegeta.

A member of the Red Ribbon army and a brilliant scientist , he planned to have revenge on Goku by creating a set of powerful Cyborgs and Cell. He got humilated by Piccolo and died by Cyborg 17.
