Year Two

In the 1980s it first became popular to create series based around the early years of characters called Year One. These were often somewhat groundbreaking series which gave characters stories that were much deeper than other stories that had preceded them. As with any good idea though everyone will consistently copy them though the end result is usually not as good as the original. The result in this case would be the Year 2 series. Last year on this day I published a blog detailing some accomplishments as it was one year since I had joined the site. So this is my two year anniversary. In terms of tangible achievements on the site there are fewer this year. Last year I managed to average a blog per day for the entire year. This year it was closer to one every four days. If this past year can be noted for some development for me it would be my looking beyond DC for my comic reading. This turned up pretty much every Zenescope title, the past and present Danger Girl series, Dynamite's Dejah Thoris and Image's Mind the Gap. Also notable among my blogs in the past year were two themed blogs - one on mermaids and one on dystopian fiction. Also notable among my blogs in the last year was running the roundtables for a while. Of course probably the most notable for most people would be that in June they made me into a moderator. Anyway, it has been a fun second year, with different creative challenges here as well as a different role in the community, but I have enjoyed it greatly, and thanks to all for the support.
