Perhaps Patrick Stewart can be both Prof X and Picard ...

Stranger things have happened. >.<

After, Jonah Hex and The Phantom, mini series - interpretations of comics coming to the large or not so large screen is making me feel iffy about it all. On one hand I would love a Wildstorm movie, on the other hand I don't want some of my favourite characters tarnished by an unforgiving writing and merchandising team. >.< It's tough. Movies like Fantastic 4, Wolverine Origins,  show just how utterly crap 'the formula' can be. Yet throw a fan into the seat, such as Hellboy and Watchmen and the end results aren't so disastrous. *shrugs* I can't blame the studios for churning out naff - that's what their business is after all and enough eat it up regardless; still, one can hope for gems. :)

Growing up in Australia, The Phantom was, I can tell you, godly. It's a shame they have just taken the name and decided to make it a suped up version. A large part of The Phantom's appeal is him being strictly 'normal'. Ah well. :/

Don't forget Sage was an original recruit, Professor X just didn't put her on the team - so there's a possible tie in to the Hellfire Club and hence Emma Frost. In reality I don't think the writers will care so much about continuity and just include a female draw for the male teen portion.

Spiral has taken out Magneto before, including reversing his powers back onto him. She can also do the same for other mutant powers. Mastermind's daughters can cast powerful illusions that most importantly act as real (can kill). Spiral has also been shown to keep up with speedsters and has enough tricks to keep the rest busy (has taken out an entire team of Avengers/X-men).
