Many people idolize a person because of the sureness with which they do things. Also some people, especially youth, feel powerless and this can lead them to idolize someone that doesn't conform to the rules.
Batman TAS.I've never really watched YJ, but I've seen clips and it looked well made; except the joker, he was weird.
