It's early. It's odd how this is under the astonishing X-men banner since the last two issues were a completely different team. I would have preferred if they called themselves X-men: Green or something instead. I am nervous because the writer who wrote Jean's recent Resurrection arc is writing this and that sucked bad. So hopefully this will be better.

I would LOVE it if Storm was the leader.

It would have been better if Jennifer Lawrence wasn't in it...

I am loving this hype guys! KEEP IT COMING.
The reason I rant about X-men not being in events is:
a) They should be key players like the Avengers are in Major events.
b) Marvel will plaster Storm and Wolverine all over everything. Only to give them tiny roles to background characters.
c) AvX was the biggest selling comic event. Let's not pretend the X-men don't sell.
d) If Marvel can pack Inhumans into major events, they can incorporate the X-men in. Let's face it, Civil War II could have been told with X-men characters and nothing would have changed storywise.

I seriously wonder how people get hired at Marvel to write X-stories. It's like some are people aren't educated in X-history to write sometimes.

But she's on the cover of the event... UGH-- I hate when they always do her like this.

So... Not to Jinx anything, but it seems the Marvel/Disney/Fox deal is pretty much a done deal at this point. If all goes through...

Will the X-men stop being replaced on merchandise now?

Will the X-men be in video games again?

Will there be another X-men animated series?

Will the X-men be key players in Marvel events now?

Will the X-comics have more effort put into them now? (None of the X-titles are hardcover like Avengers books are...)

Will the X-men be Marvel's poster children again and will the Avengers have to scoot the F over?

What does this mean? I don't want to celebrate early, but what are everyone's thoughts for the future?

In her defense.. Rogue didn't even know she was getting married. LOL

Just wondering if she was in it and did she even do anything? Should I just pass at this point? Seems like the events just focus around the same non-X-men Characters... And if they are X-events it's trash where the X-men get their butts kicked...

2) I still stand by the fact that Jean's powers were expanded by the phoenix force and that she didn't completely just weaken entirely after it leaving.
3) In X-men Red Annual: Jean's mind was everywhere at once. Wheras I believe Xavier would need Cerebro.
While in Attilan, Jean was able to multitask: make sure chad didn't hurt himself, be in the mind of Laura's pet at her home, and keep an eye on the X-mansion from a students mind, all while showing Black Bolt the error of his ways. In order to use telepathy that far and in that way, wouldn't Xavier require cerebro?
4) This may be reaching, but with the fact that young jean has been leveling up faster than Present Day Jean was at her age, wouldn't that mean adult jean is a bit more adept than usual too?
5) In X-men Red Annual, she also stated that she doesn't have to hold back her powers anymore. So if she was on par or near with the Professor before, it's most likely she is surpassing him.


Obviously, I could be wrong about all of this. But this was what I was basing it off of. If I'm wrong about it, I'm wrong and will stand by that too. They probably are on par with one another at this point.
