"War is peace. Hatred is acceptance."

Random thought while re-reading the description I wrote for the Summers' Rebellion

In X-Factor; Layla Miller (Stuff Happens), the President is giving a speech about why they need to do genetic testing to see if your bloodline may carry or devolop the mutant gene and he says “War is peace. Hatred is acceptance.”  It strikes me as something Dirk Anger would say. Did the anti-terrorist, terrorist-funded agency H.A.T.E. take over the government?

What's with Iceman?

What's with Iceman and attracing gay (or whatever Shatterstar's sexuality is) men? It's kind of funny. (I do get that Shatterstar flirts with anything that moves, I got the impression that was the whole point of the Nation X issue of X-Factor, but still.)

X-Factor III - NationX Oneshot
X-Factor III - NationX Oneshot

(I blame  Gawdzilla for my thought process on this, after pointing out the same thing with Hellion and clones...)

Wrote the Deanna Troi bio. Very small section of her roll in TNG, but a decent sized childhood and a small bit on he rcharacter in the Myriad Universes - The Last Generation.

I also added two relating images;

Fic: Sunshine (Marvel; New Mutants II ... PG | Laurie/Sofia )

Title: Sunshine
Author: Pixie Child ( glitery_insane_pixie_child@yahoo.ca / http://pixie.submystic.com )
Fandom: Marvel; New Mutants (II)
Pairing: Laurie / Sofia (Some Julian/Sofia too, I guess)
Rating:   FR13
Timeline: Dialog from issue three.
Summary:  Laurie hasn't had a friend in a long time. Sofia's friendship is like the gift of sunshine after a long, frozen winter.
A/N: Don't know where this came from, and truth be told, I don't much care. I kinda like it.
Beta: Nope, sorry. Anyone know a Marvel beta reader?!
Feedback: is a must!
Disclaimer: Not mine. I play with other people's toys.

Laurie's been by herself for so long that she's shocked that someone grabs her arm in the hallway between classes she's actually shocked.

Do Camios Count?

Something occured to me. Quite often in the larger comics (Uncanny X-Men, Birds of Prey) A character appears in the background in one scene without speaking or being addressed and is listed as a character on the issue page. Should they be listed? Or should it just be that, a backdrop and not be mentioned? Is there a policy on this or is it up to whoever updates the page?

Coming Home (Eureka ... PG | Allison/Jo)

Title: Coming Home
Author: Pixie Child ( glitery_insane_pixie_child@yahoo.ca / http://pixie.submystic.com )
Fandom: Eureka
Pairing: Allison/Jo
Rating:   FR13 (Language; crude imagry. No matter how hard I try, I can't seem write anything harder-core that's decent.)
Timeline: No idea. I guess maybe mid-season two? So just before the Dormant Gene comic arc.
Summary: Jo's a girl with a gun; well, a lot of guns.
A/N: Don't know where this came from, don't really care. It hit me while I was at work and I wrote it at two AM when I couldn't sleep.
A/N2: I've got a thing for women cops. And Jo? Is damn sexy.
A/N3: I know the statistical probability of the four main figureheads in a small town all being gay and paring off with each other is astronomical, but whatever.
Beta: Sorry!
Feedback: is a must!
Disclaimer: Not mine. I play with other people's toys.

Allison walked into Jo's house and tossed her keys into the bowl next to the door. The keys made a clanking in the ceramic and she smiled. It was just a simple thing, the sound of keys hitting the place where they belonged, but it was a sound of coming *home* and it was a wonderful feeling to use that word. Home.
