@punyparker: The reasons you cite are the reasons I dropped all Bat titles last year. The avatar only reflects I like the game not the books.

Also, you may have not noticed that at the start I said it was an "inevitable" return. I never believed for one second that Spock would be there permanently. My point was that IMO Peter stories had lost the enjoyment for me awhile ago and that I was loving the different slant for the last 12 months or so.

Im just sad that POTENTIALLY the fun I've had this year with this book is over. I guess only time will tell.

As, like a lot of other posters, a lifelong Spidey fan, I can only say how inevitable yet sad this news is.

In my opinion, Peter and his story had become dull, repetitive and predictable. I was at the point of giving up when the Spock storyline materialised and for me this gave new life to a long stale story.

For me the current story could have run a lot longer. I've enjoyed every issue of Superior and never mourned for Pete. At this moment I'm doubting I'll stay on once he comes back. With a lot of fresh and potentially exciting titles making their debuts this year, this comeback could be the story my bank balance has prayed for!!!!

Glad Jen was back for the second week and hope she continues on the podcasts as a regular of the team. Nothing against anyone at all but the last 2 weeks felt like the fun, relaxed feel was back.....something that seemed to have been lost awhile ago. I've enjoyed the last 2 casts more than any in a long time......good work guys, keep it going :)

For me this was an absolutely great book! Speaking as a Brit, I LOVED the mentioned anglo-jokes and in-references. A couple of "OMG" moments.....some real lol moments.....Captain Brian anyone? Pure magic! The book left me with a need to start it again and read it once more....that doesnt happen often. Only downside? I dont know if Marvel are planning a return to some of these characters, because I for one want to see more Excalibur etc etc. Great stuff 5/5 :)

I've just dropped this book. Not because I dont enjoy it but just purely because I could never seem to pick up the story from one month to the next. I'll be picking it up in trade from now on and by the looks of it, I'm going to enjoy it.......just got to wait forever for the TPB I guess :)

At last! Some love for what has been for me a real guilty pleasure since #1. Got to agree though that the art has improved dramatically! Hope GL's absence is not a temporary one.

Hi team,

Thank you for all the effort you put in each and every week to help us through the huge world of comics. I'm sure, like most of your listeners, I'd be lost without you!

My question is brief.....I've just caught up on Mark Waid's Daredevil through the trades.....whose run prior to this was stronger? Bendis or Brubaker?

I'm tempted to start at the beginning of Bendis' run and work through it all but thats a lot of reading if it wasn't as strong or stronger than the current material?

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again guys!

Hi Tony!

Firstly thanks for all your great work....as someone that has only returned to comics in the last few months after a 12 year hiatus, you and the team have provided invaluable information to help guide me back into the world I once (and do again!) love so much.

My question is ....I've just read the fantastic "Gotham Central" set of trades and loved them all. On the back of Vol 4 it refers to Detective Renee Montoya as becoming a key protagonist in the "DC Series 52".

Having returned to comics post-new 52.....what do I read next to continue Renee's story?

Many thanks again for your time :)
