Just like manyof you, I have been waiting for Batman v Superman for not only three years, but since I was a child. I saw the film this Sunday at the New York premiere event and I've been holding off my review until now.
First off, I want to say that I have a huge respect for film critics and movie reviewers. But I am telling you all right now, they have no right to bash this film before the majority of the fans have the opportunity to see it. I say this because this is another prime example of a film that is butchered by the critics and viewed completely differently by the General movie going audience.
Fellow comic book fans... This movie is good. No, this movie is fantastic. I not only had a fun time watching this film, but I gained a new hope for the DCEU. I say this because I truly believe this film deserves a huge financial success and I don't want reviewers to ruin that. The performances are exceptional and the story is phenomenal. I came out of the theater without a single complaint. Now, will all of you have the same reaction as me? Of course not. All I'm asking is that ALL of you take the time to see this movie and experience the hard work that was put into it.
Critics and Reviewers exist to inform audiences whether or not a movie is worth seeing. And I'm not here to do that, I'm here to tell you to judge it yourself. Don't take the word of these critics, because quite frankly, the majority of them have a stigma for comic book movies in the first place. We have seen time and time again the downfall of a film solely from the critics' reviews. Look at all the pre existing fan reactions on Twitter. Everyone came out of the theater in love with the film. However, just as I told you not to take critic's opinions as absolute, you don't have to take those Twitter reactions as cold hard fact either.
I want to see this film succeed. I want you as an audience to go into the theater with an open mind and without any pre existing opinions. Because your opinion will be vastly different than anyone else.
