So following your argument, people should ACCEPT donations from groups or individuals(whether the wife of a notoriously controversial US President or maybe even organized crime or terrorist groups- or individuals linked to same) because hey"it's all for the children!" with no questions asked. Like it or not Melania Trump is her husband's wife and is widely seen as an implicit extension of himself and his aAdministration's policies(just as every First Lady since Martha Washington is so regarded) and if someone presumably disapproves of said policies of the President it seems disingenouous to me to claim that ANYTHING done by his wife has NO political significance or overtones!
