My money is on Nightcrawler also. The last Wolverine and the X-Men clearly exposed Nightcrawler on the last page with some Bamfs. Blue smoke, is he alive? Yes he is.
I cut back on a lot of Marvel titles. I'm now only getting a few series (Spider-man, Avengers, Daredevil) and I get the rest of my Marvel stuff from Marvel Unlimited.
Granted Marvel Digital Unlimited is NEVER up to date (always a couple of month behind), but it saves me a TON of money that I can inject on some titles from DC, Image and the rest. For 50$ a year, you get thousands of comics, can't beat that!
In my opinion, Charles Xavier wasn't having any kind of impact story wise for the last few years. He's probably gonna serve the advancement of the New X-Men as being dead.
As with any deaths in the Marvel universe anyway, he'll probably be back later, either they go back in time, pull him from another parallel universe, make a pact with the devil or some other astral entity.
Put yourself in the shoes of Marvel or DC and think about the legal nightmare of pushing out a crossover series. Also, the coordination efforts in terms of resource allocation must be problematic as well... unless of course, only one of the publisher runs the entire series and just 'leases' the characters from the other.
I guess the first step for us to get more crossovers is to actually talk about it and try to generate a buzz around it.
The first punisher movie wasn't that bad. But, characters like the Russian was just a bad move. I mean, the guy looks like a total dork, what's up with that gay-ass shirt? If we have another Punisher movie, I think that the authors need to look into the Punisher MAX series.
