Golden Age on fire lately

Has anyone else noticed the rise in interest in Golden, Silver and even Bronze age comics lately? Most of the auctions on eBay for GA and SA get buyers. My local comic shop has seen a steady rise in the sales of comics from these 3 periods. Even books that are mid to low grade seem to be selling quite well. I, myself have become quite intrigued with pre-code horror titles as well as all the great bronze age DC and Marvel horror titles. Could this be a new trend? Of course what this also means in the price of these books are steadily on the rise as well.

Digital Comics... a value with no value

While I enjoy the idea of digital comics there are 2 main things I dislike about them. One of these dislikes can change very easily, one will never change. The changeable aspect that I hate right now if the "Cloud" function of digital comics. The user paying the same price for a digital copy as they would a hard copy, yet they can only read that digital version if the computer or device is online and logged it. This can be changed by allowing a downloadable version to a local storage device of some kind. I understand this presents a problem to the comic book companies because of the increased change of sharing or piracy. Well I think you already have that problem, Try beating them to the punch at least!

The 2nd issue that I don't see a real way of changing is the collectable monetary value of digital comics. With the exception of file corruption, which can be fixed easily, a digital comic will never increase in value. For one the original purchaser can not sell the digital comic to someone else since there is no licence to transfer from one entity to another. The condition of the digital comicbook will always be MINT because there is no physical degradation that can occur.
