@japan_vs: Actually you're right that the film was not good. That's because it ignored the original novel and wrote something else that has nothing or very little to do with the story. Read the novel, get the audio book. It's actually a good story.
ECCC was fun to shoot. Loved this skilled cosplayer. Most of my Emerald City shots are found on Flickr.com. Use the slideshow view: http://www.flickr.com/photos/scotman/sets/72157632912931895/
Nope, I'm not advertising this, but I would like to know if there would be some interested comics fans who'd like to contribute to this community. It's part of www.Lunch.com, a social network site that is a morph of Yelp and Yahoo Groups all mixed in. If you want to write a review of a graphic novel, character or comic-based film, write it there. I've been doing it for some time and it's fun to do.
@Tom Pinchuk: Great article! I wrote a few of my experiences my self at www.Lunch.com = http://lunch.com/t/13aj . Rather than wait in that horrendous three hour line to see Nic Cage et al., I spent time with Joe and Adam Kubert, the Sergio & Mark Show, and Murphy Anderson. Love the classic artists. Got a stack of Bronze Age comics at 50% off and shot a bunch of Masquerade shots Saturday night. I was one of the chosen at the backstage photo shoot. Will you be going to the Anaheim Con?
@sora_thekey: Great review and videos. I wrote one too, and have a similar response. If I ignore the Hawkman effects and just listen to the plot, then I'm fine. Finally Smallville is infusing more DC characters.
