Trying to find something interesting from the Bat-line while looking at solicitations and I got to say nothing quite catches my eye so far. Maybe I am underrating a certain book?
I am, however, excited for Zdarsky's tenure. I confess his opening to Daredevil felt a bit too reminiscent of the Netflix show for my tastes, but a full read of that run convinced me of his love for the character - and culminated in a streak of excellent stories to match the wealth of Daredevil's universe. If he does something similar with Batman it's going to be a blast.
Beyond Pattinson I was not informed on any of the others participating in the film and failed to identify Farrell at a glance, so he is probably doing something right. As others said he always was a capable actor.
@entropy_aegis: At least it sounds like Slade has been busy. Which is both good and bad. I did expect the character to be rather directionless after Priest concluded his run, though.
It is profoundly baffling that Tynion legitimately has a full run on Batman before a number of other writers but Snyder's influence seems like it can go a long way.
I wish I could feign surprise at your Three Jokers (or whatever it's officially titled) review. The only reason Johns is allowed to go near Batman despite his inability to grasp the basics of the character for the past 16 years -- going as far back as Green Lantern: Rebirth -- is his status within DC. These kind of asinine internal politics rather than a meritocratic foundation are what truly put me off reading.
That said, I assume the art will be nice to look at so I might read it when I decide to get up to speed.
I'm not a troll and I never made alts to argue with myself.
You have posts in this thread by an account named CENTURION. So it's either your alt or someone is living under your bed, emerging when you are not there and posting from your IP. In which case you should call the police.
Since the former is marginally more likely than the latter, GS believes you have an alt. Anyway, don't do it again.
@entropy_aegis: I'm reading through the past few pages of this thread, trying to get up to speed on what has been going on, and it appears the state of affairs in Batman has not improved much at all since I took a break from comics months ago. Rather disappointing, I must say.
@magian: I have been more lenient towards MoS after rewatching it but Wonder Woman is likely the only DCEU film I can say I enjoyed from start to finish, nitpicking aside. Even though I have yet to see Birds of Prey.
I would say the Flash. His insignia and colors along with the simplicity of his abilities (forgetting the Speed Force, an average person just realizes the Flash just runs fast), make him more iconic and easily recognizable. The CW show helped boost him even further.
