so i love batman: year one..hell, my first post on the site was about it! but i love the stories that grew from it just as much. The good ones! so over the past few years i've been putting together a chronology of all the batman comics i think are part of the DKU!

my reading order:

1) Batman: Gordon of Gotham #1-4

YEAR ONE

2) Batman: Year One #1-2

3) Catwoman #1-2

4) Batman: Year One #3

5) Batman: The Monster Men #1-4

6) Batman: The Mad Monk #1-4

7) Catwoman #3-4

8) Batman: Year One #4

YEAR TWO

9) Legends of the Dark Knight #50

or) Batman: The Man Who Laughs

or) Batman: Lovers & Madmen (batman: confidential #7 - 12)

YEAR THREE

10) Batman Annual #14

or) Batman: The Long Halloween

YEAR FOUR

11) Robin: Year One 1-4

YEAR FIVE

12) Batgirl Year One 1-4

AND THAT'S ALL I'VE GOT SO FAR! i know all of batman legends is meant to be part of it but i'm trying to take out my best of"!

i don't think "year two" should even be regarded as a sequel. let's be honest; it wasn't.

and as for batman and robin the boy wonder? well i'm strict on my rules. and especially if miller goes and breaks them. he's a year younger in this story than he is in the comic. if miller made that mistake i presume he made it on purpose. so i don't think he considers it part of the same universe.

i hope i don't sound like a crazy person. i just want this series to be enjoyed to it's fullest extent and people to see all the great things that have been sequels to it!

i think they should make 3 really good movies now and in another 20 or so years revisit to finish off the franchise at chapter 12

a spirit, captain marvel, plastic man or hawkman woulda been WAY cooler...stop trying to outdo batman: tas..can't be done

batman would be a good president for america cuz he'd make guns illegal and remove the death penalty...

captain america is good too cuz he knows the horrors of war and i don't think he'd rush them back into fighting for nothing..

superman would be a crappy president imo..he grew up on a farm and has no experience (and america's already had a president like that and it didn't work out)

tony stark COULD be good because of how he stopped the manufacturing of weaponry but his stance in civil war was pretty conservative and he's also an alcoholic so i think he could be a pain...

ahh ya gotta love the fucked up continuity of batman now..went missing for years, has been batman for 10 years, somehow managed to raise dick from an 8 year old to a full grown nightwing, jason todd from a 12 year old to a full grown red hood, tim drake from about 14 to a fully grown red robin and still have had time to shack up with talia and now be raising damien! the stories themselves are great but this series needs to be sorted out because bruce has to be pushing 40 at this stage and been batman for at least 20 years
