I read somewhere that new stats show 40% of comic book readers and video game players are woman. You'd think they would start to cater to that audience as well.
Also, with the bible comments. I believe when they say "man shall not sleep with man" they're implying women as well. Or maybe the bible doesn't give a &%*% about what women do?
Have you noticed that female heroes are turning up as lesbian every second, yet there doesn't seem to be much "outage" in terms of male characters... I even hear that they were considering making Wonder Woman into a lesbian once she got the costume change... This begs the question of why lesbianism seems to be wildly excepted by the media but not homosexuality among males... unless you're into manga... and yaoi and such... Any thoughts?
Hey, sounds like we're in a similar predicament! I, on the other hand, haven't read comics for the last couple years, but other wise have been an enormous fan. I have shit loads of stuff comics, toys, etc, but it's all pre-reboot and I need help. I don't know what's going on and need some help getting back on track. :(
Alright, so I've been away from the comic book community for over two years and I'm kind of ashamed when I attempt to walk into a comic shop or whatever. Everyone's talking Flashpoint and Reboot and I don't know what's going on. Could someone give me a hand? Has the Joker been revamped?! I hear Harley's gotten a new look. What do I need to know so I can go back to a comic shop without feeling like a newbee?!
