Well i'm glad the USA is finally warming up to gay marriages, where i live (netherlands) gay marriages have been possible since 2001.

And you know what, the world hasn't ended or anything, so grow up people. Everyone deserves to share their lives with a loved one.

I just love how this is called a crossover, but when marvel does it it's suddenly an event (and then the hate begins)

Still i'm loving the new 52 and i'm looking forward to this "crossover"

I'm a new reader, haven't read any DC comics before the new 52, never ever. (and i have read comics for over 20 years)

As i see it they have a brand new "regular" new 52 universe, why the rush of adding yet a new earth 2 universe? Can't they flesh out this universe some more? It hasn't even been a whole year yet.

I'm still in the fase of figuring out who everybody is and what their relation is to one another. e.g. i still need to look up Karen Starr on comicvine and find out that she is powergirl.

Well in my case i grew up with just marvel. Where i live there was nothing else for a looong time. And i just stuck with it. it's more like a soap that you sometimes hate but you still want to know what happens next.

Plus budget is a very limiting factor, not only do i buy american comics i also buy european ones which are far more expensive.

The reason i don't pick up Severed is because it doesn't appeal to me, it sounds like it's a horror story which i'm not that into. I do read TWD, i don't consider that horror at all. I'm sure i'm missing out on great stories but on the other hand i'm also enjoying the comics that i do read. And my budget only lets me read so much.

@G-Man: Do you think we'll soon see a return of Gwen Stacy in the comics now that she appears in the movie?

She's still alive in the Ultimate Universe

I know, but since Peter isn't i don't think fans of the movie will pick that up to read about Spider-Man. So therefore the regular 616 has to appeal to new readers. Secondly Peter is kinda single in the regular MCU so it would be perfect to have Gwen show up again. Although the question is should Marvel actually bring back Gwen.

Want to jump in the walking dead but i have one question :

Will this be "50% zombie and 50%humain story" or "5% zombie, 5%humain and 90% some boring discussion about the value of one life and psy subject" ?

For me your latter part is not applicable to this series at all, but i wouldn't go as far as 50% zombie and 50% human either. Sometimes a few issues go by before seeing a zombie let alone an attack.

Even though the story slows down somewhat from time to time i still find it interesting, at the moment they've made contact with a member of possibly a new group of survivers (i don't consider this a spoiler since it's been mentioned in the article itself) and this situation is dealt with in an unusual manner.

Rick (the main character) imo has only two lives he considers of any value, his and that of his son. Everybody that comes between him and keeping those lives safe, either intentionally or not, are considered a threat and dealt with. This makes him a major asshole imo. Then again i would be too in his situation.

I'm sure we will see other survivers down the road, if only for the fact they need to add fresh blood to the group, because Kirkman keeps killing characters. (which i love by the way)

I would love to see how the rest of the world is doing, but we allready know that there won't be any spin-offs so there's litlle chance of that happening. Altough i think it's safe to say that it's happening all over the world, because if it was only the USA i'm sure other country's would come with aid.

I do wish however that Rick and the gang had more of a mission than just "survive" like he had when he was looking for his family. I think it would be far more interesting if they were forced on the road again and had to go to california for instance. This way you would see how big the impact was on society and on america. (then again that might be a bit "cliché" since every zombie film or story has this)

I think by now finding lone survivers might be near impossible, to survive a zombie apocolypse you need to be with more people and you need to get organised, so my guess is Grimes and company will only meet other pockets of survivers from now on and so this new guy might be telling the truth. Then again the only person that really knows is Mr Kirkman himself.
